Ouch. I'm just imagining a spitter on the 2nd floor with troll face now. "Problem Survivors?"
Wait there's a big update coming out? Is it worth reinstalling L4D2 over?
When Valve talks about the DLC release date I really, really hope that they reveal more than just the L4D1 campaigns and Cold Stream.
Wait there's a big update coming out? Is it worth reinstalling L4D2 over?
Yes and no.
There's basically a minor update coming out right now that preludes a major updating coming up soon. If you've got the time to spare you might as well install L4D2, but if not then don't fret; you're not really going to miss much until the new DLC comes out.
That really is sad. You know what's even more sad? Sometimes when I use primary attack, it doesn't even throw the object. It just drops it there like pressing "use" would.
Reminds me of one of my few gripes with Portal 2. You can't press your primary or secondary attack to "Throw" an object you're holding like a Weighted Storage Cube or a Turret like you can in most other Source games. You can only press your Use key to drop it at your feet.
One time while playing Dead Center me and some others wanted to save time so we split up and all went to get cans and then threw them into a big pile so we could just stroll back to the pile to get another can when we were putting in the fuel.
Big mistake.
A Spitter came and set them all on fire and we were all raging.
Was this in Versus? Because I'm wondering if the Infected AI can actually do that.
Was this in Versus? Because I'm wondering if the Infected AI can actually do that.
I don't think they can. I've seen cans withstand spitter goo in campaign mode many times without burning. I'm not quite sure why they're not able to do it though.
Was this in Versus? Because I'm wondering if the Infected AI can actually do that.
Well they weren't aiming for the cans, one of my teammates was standing near the cans and it shot there.
No updates :(
Cold Stream update went online yesterday afternoon around 4 or 5 EST, but according to l4ddev they aren't releasing a news log because it would change beta testers' experience. They'd just focus on individual changes instead of the whole sum of the changes.

What else is new?
One time while playing Dead Center me and some others wanted to save time so we split up and all went to get cans and then threw them into a big pile so we could just stroll back to the pile to get another can when we were putting in the fuel.

The spitter goo won't do that, so someone else must have shot it. None of the infected can make the fuel cans explode.
The spitter goo won't do that,
Uh yes it will.
Uh yes it will.
Only on Scavenge and Versus. In any other gamemode, the Spitter acid will not cause gas cans to burst into flames.
I play a lot and I noticed that l4d1 model Xenoaisam (Miku) will not work correctly in multiplayer.
And I just fix the problem.:c00l:

Finally got around to playing Cold Stream. What a load of shit. Gameplay was okay, but the mapping was terrible and it was far too linear for my liking.
I've been playing L4D again. I definitely prefer it to L4D2. I swear the bots aren't as good, which is good, because in L4D2, they do everything for you (in singleplayer).
I guess on the 1st we'll get a new Mutation again.

(Really late, but) in the Cold Stream blog post they say...
The easiest starting point for new campaigns is the three remaining Left 4 Dead 1 campaigns, so the DLC will include those.
They should bring Crash Course over as well, but I guess they don't want to take everything that L4D1 had to L4D2.

Cold Stream isn't too bad in my opinion, I really hate the intro though.

"Everything"? I guess only shooting and healing, never meleeing, never throwing grenades is everything.
I've never played L4D1 though. What do the bots do in it? Just stand there?

They're somewhat like the ones in L4D2, just dumber. Why would they just stand there if people obviously played with them?

I loved the flooded stairwell with water flowing everywhere.
The new featured campaign "Suicide Blitz 2" was pretty boss. There was a lot of interesting changes between the original and this version, and I especially loved the secret custom melee weapon (It's hilarious) and the custom tanks at the end.

That was amazing.
The only amazing thing about that map.
And they don't want to port Crash Course because it's not good enough to care about.
I havent played L4D2 since last Halloween. Is Cold Stream a new DLC?? What the fuck did I miss?
Cold Stream was some DLC campaign from a mapper that Valve got for some really retarded reason, since as anyone here can tell you, the Cold Stream Beta was complete shit.

I wouldn't put any part of my body, let alone the primary part of my reproductive system anywhere near that.
I haven't played in a good while. Did they ever remove that stupid slow-mo in Cold Stream?
