Well, there's different layers of video game fashion, and it depends on a lot of different things. It depends a lot on what the apparel is like, what the environment you're going to be in is like, how popular the game is, body build, etc. Tamer references that are more stylish are going to be your best bet overall, as long as they aren't too tongue-in-cheek or self-referential. Those darker Zelda shirts with the brown, stylized Triforce are a good example: I have a friend who wears it, and his fits his style really well and isn't at all nerdy. The Aperture Science/Wheatley Science shirts aren't that bad either; same with the Portal 2 Lab Rat. tbqh though, in my experience, you open a lot more doors through video game/tv/music clothes than you close.
I have the Mass Effect stripe hoodie and I wear it on a regular basis towards the end of the year when it gets a bit colder. I see nothing wrong with it.
I'm okay if I wear a shirt that has something that only gamers can recognize or something. But wearing something with the huge words "MASS EFFECT 2" for example makes you look like a walking advertisment hoarding.
You might as well encourage those people who wear fur tail chains as a sign of furry support on their belt to school then.
' I think there's a large difference between apperal that references simple video games and apperal that references the internet's most controversial fandom.
is there a way to fix this model of zoey without face animations and melee weapons? http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AZY1392M http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/2009/06/custom_1244990182041_l4dnudezoey.jpg it's for l4d2 thanks in advance, i'm new here
You might as well encourage those people who wear fur tail chains as a sign of furry support on their belt to school then.
Let them have a t-shirt that says "I'm a dog, want some" on it. I remember when wearing a t-shirt of your favorite video game was a controversial action because everyone was too self-conscious to walk out of the house with one :(.
I remember when wearing a t-shirt of your favorite video game was a controversial action because everyone was too self-conscious to walk out of the house with one :(.
Yeah, and now I prefer to walk out of the house with one.
I remember when wearing a t-shirt of your favorite video game was a controversial action because everyone was too self-conscious to walk out of the house with one :(.
Largely because they're idiots. It's a shirt. It's no different than walking out of the house with a shirt with a Star Wars logo on it, or anything else for that matter. If you're self-conscious about being seen in public with a shirt that has a video game character on it, you don't need to be out in public. Unless you're Amish, I guess, they have an actual reason.

I just played a round on L4D1 and jesus christ the players there are asses. They vote kick for shitty reasons.
I just played a round on L4D1 and jesus christ the players there are asses. I got left behind for a bit while he was constantly charging up front and constantly getting incapacitated, when he decided that I was 'too much of a scrub' and got the others to votekick me. :smith: [editline]19th July 2011[/editline] Fairly certain he wasn't griefing and just egotistical.
i once healed and got votekicked by the entire team "GO HEAL ON ANOTHER SERVER [FAGGOT/DOUCHE/TWAT]"
Never a valid kick reason, but on expert it's a valid annoyance. Someone heals at solid yellow health on expert without another medkit right there, that's an incredible waste of supplies.
Oh I hate being on a bridge or something similar then a Charger, out of fucking nowhere, rushes to me, and then falling to the abyss.
Oh I hate being on a bridge or something similar then a Charger, out of fucking nowhere, rushes to me, and then falling to the abyss.
That happened to me right before I got to the helicopter.
"Oh, a Charger, let me just hop out of the waaaAAAAAYYYY LAG COMPENSATIOOOOoooooo-"
I just played a round on L4D1 and jesus christ the players there are asses. They vote kick for shitty reasons.
L4D2 versus players are just as bad. I came across a sniper-rifle team in Dark Carnie once. They must've played versus regularly, but into the 2nd level I got boomed and they left me behind, couldn't understand that they needed to WAIT UP for a low-health survivor, and then when the tank came, votekicked because I was saving my health pack until AFTER the tank was going to fuck me up (fyi, the tank was waiting for me to heal to come in). Another time, a team got mad because they became trapped in spitter goo in one of the Dark Carnie barn rooms, and they expected me to able to do something about it with low health and three dying survivors on the ground as I wrestled with a hunter(?. been awhile). Wasn't my fault in the first place; Coach, who was using the mic freely to say stuff akin too "GET REKT" and "YOU JELLY???," was too dumb to walk straight into the goo and incap himself. And then they thought I did a dumb job as a tank during the beginning of the finale level at the safehouse; which, imo, there was no way to fight off the survivors because they were just a good team, and the area you're given is just too much of an advantage for the Survivors. And, as you can expect, SPUF will just sit there and say "Well the only reason people get votekicked is because they suck."
I was once votekicked on Versus for giving my team directions, they sucked so badly, I wasn't bossing them around, I was just making suggestions that'd help us win, eventually they told me ''wow stop commanding us u fag'' and kicked me. Fucking worthless players.
I just got an idea, how about a mod that replaces the Survivors with The Golden Girls? models. sounds, everything.
Don't deny it, you'd all play it

He kept on say get over there which I didn't know what there is then just tell everyone I'm a faggot and to vote kick me. Next time I'm bring a friend so I can just counter vote em.

I stood up for a guy that was getting shit, so when I countered their votekick of him, they started a vote because I was "a faggot," and votekicked me. imo Always play with friends, they'll forgive you and don't hold you to incredible bullshit standards.
I've been votekicked before for getting a Tank that was burning to death in the first level of Dead Center. Right before I got kicked, I heard the douchebag berating everyone and made the kick go, "No tank for you!" Too bad votekicks are so hard to deal with, it's very damn annoying to be kicked for bullshit when none of your friends play L4D.
"Oh, a Charger, let me just hop out of the waaaAAAAAYYYY LAG COMPENSATIOOOOoooooo-"
More like as a charger: "Oh god a perfect charge opportunity, let me just charge this survivor off" As I bounce off the survivor and plummet to the water alone.

After six months of testing, we came up with the technique of adding lights to a scene. After 6 additional months of retraining our map editors, we very cleverly solved all the darkness problems! We also made fog glow in the dark!"
l4ddev just confirmed 13 minutes ago that Dead Air is moving from development branch to the release stage. They're going to begin testing for release, basically. Don't expect release today, but not much longer.
