the Smoker doesn't really seem like a Silent Hill enemy, but I suppose if I were in the various games' protagonists' position I'd beat the shit out of anything that wasn't distinctly human

I know we've moved on from this point of the discussion, but I was once votekicked in scavenge, because I spawned as a charger on No Mercy. There was this one bossy GURRRRLL GAMER bitch, and two guys, all yelling at me not to waste the charger, but there was literally NO WHERE good to spawn. It was all either too close, in the line of sight of, or not close enough to the survivors. I was votekicked for "wasting a charger", even when two others spawned during that period and charged right to their deaths.
I felt like I had let the team down and was very sad for about an hour or so.

A long time ago, somebody gifted me L4D1 and 2, but I couldn't run it.
I finally have a computer to run it and now all my good friends moved on and don't want to play it, and I really don't like playing coop games with random people.
Sucks.
I don't even have friends who play L4D2, I only do with random people. :smith:

Just as an FYI, l4ddev usually gives reports about why something is delayed if it is, or outlines progress being made.
It isn't like Valve Time where you miss the deadline, and then have to wait 3 hours just to hear a little bit of info about the delay through a 'Whoops, sorry!' blog post.
