I was never a fan of VS in general because it always stacks everything against the survivors, making a difficult map into an impossible one.
That, and more often than not, you always get the shitty team.
Or your team hates you because you failed at one tiny thing

Not only that, but you don't even need any skill whatsoever to be a good special infected while being a good survivor is much harder.
L4D's formula works terribly in any way that special infected can respawn so quickly and attack.

Yes but its still fun
Yes but its still fun
I never found it fun, every time I played online it was more "RUSH AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE AND HOPE WE DON'T GET PICKED OFF" than it was "we need to work together as a team and move slowly and cover each other."

Mostly, there's also our discussion (read as: bitching) about VS mode.
To me, VS Mode is less of trying to survive the maps every time and more of trying to rack up points faster and better than the opposing team, paving the way for careful Survivor tactics and sharp Infected combos. Your Survivor team making it to the end of a level is either a testament to your teamwork, or a demonstration that the opposing team is retarded.
Still doesn't make it all that fun though. :v:

One time I played VS mode online for fun and I was with three other guys as a survivor and we were getting ready to go out and it was so tense and our pointman was like "Okay, 1-2-3-RUSH!" and he opens the doors and we rush out guns blazing.
Fifteen seconds later we all lost when one of the Infected got a Tank :suicide:

The only reason to rush during a VS match is when you're the last man alive and think you can get some more progress points before dying.
People have tried. Someone did it, at one point, but one of the (many) mod killing patches that Valve released for L4D2 broke them, and he couldn't get them to work again.
Or when you walk out of the saferoom and are immediately assaulted on all sides by special infected?
Please can you port also the original m1911 pistols?
Hey, look, it's Hochelle!
Does anyone remember that advanced tactics thread from a while back?
Hey L4D2 players, check this skin out if you want:

It's an M16 replacement. Yeah, a bit too futuristic and doesn't fit with the setting, but i'll be damned if it isn't awesome. Comes in unsilenced and silenced variants, along with two other versions for 'Aim Down Sight' animations; basically, when standing still the weapon is sighted in, but when walking or moving the weapon moves away from your face. Felt very satisfying grabbing Bill's dropped weapon [an M16, which I noted this replaces] and mowing down oncoming Tanks in The Passing with this skin.
Same guy also created a new set of animations for the default Desert Eagle in-game as well as an Aim Down Sight version.

At first I thought it was an M16 then I saw the model, which looks like the M16 and the Steyr AUG had a baby.

I'm porting Barry Burton from Resident Evil 1.

He has ~jigglebones~, and my buddy -Rusty- is getting me some sound files from the original RE1.
Is changing bot survivor names still broken?

I will love you forever if you release that.
Also to change the bot names, edit resource/closecaption_english.txt
Nice spiderweb sights.
It's a weird thing, in-game you don't seem to see the oddness at all, but in pictures / videos there's some weird effect that makes it seem like there's more in the sight. v:v:v
That animator is awesome. He also re-animated the Hunting Rifle.
I hope he plans on doing the pump-shotties and SCAR.
Getting a large 455.3 MB on L4D2, seems like Death Toll is being released.
Yep it's Death Toll

I'm gonna bet there is gonna be bug and church guy will have a chance to turn into spitter :v:
Was just about to play Last man on Earth in L4D2 on tutorial_standards and decided to check the different lobbies, spotted #L4D360UI_CampaignName_C10 (Campaign name for Death Toll L4D2 Port in "code" style) being played.

I think that would require the Scout to bring a girlfriend who could turn into that, but I'd rather prefer seeing him as a jockey and hearing him laugh.

He always turned into a boomer for me in L4D1.
