What's with L4D2 and mean women playing?
I join a lobby and exchange greetings. She goes apeshit cause I call her a dork as a joke then she proceeds to type out long ass paragraphs all insults. I tell her I just want to play, I've had a long day. She proceeds to be butthurt the whole game and won't help me up whenever I get rushed. She was cute too, just, really REALLY serious about L4D2.
One time this girl over the mic just started being angry cause we were taking too long to play through a section. I tell her I'm just enjoying the game as it is, no need to be all professional when all you want is some nice zombie action. She's all butthurt and just rushes ahead most of the time. Gets pissed when someone doesn't follow the easiest spot to crowd in.
Where's the fun in a game when you have to find the glitchiest spot to play so you can go ahead in ease? I personally love the challenge playing expert.

Yeah, whenever my family gets together for a game we always try to hold out in a different spot. You want maximum challenge just use the mounted guns in every event where they are available. It's oh so satisfying when you can get a good foothold in one of those areas and mow down 60 zombies though.

Exactly, I love playing expert realism with my friends for the added challenge. I hate when someone wants to use an exploit or a glitch and ruins that challenge. Occasionally we'll do the finale glitch on Hard Rain or Dark Carnival if it's been a long night and we've tried oh so many times and just want to wrap it up, but other then that I'd rather play the game the way it's meant to be played.
I'm glad they fixed some things like the rollercoaster exploit in Dark Carnival.

L4D pub players are notoriously bad for this in-general.
It's like the game isn't about the journey TO the destination, it's about getting there and play by my rules use the exploit stack up destack restack okay you aren't following my pacing votekick 3/4.

90% of versus players have their profile set to private. It keeps bugging me, what does that mean?

I've noticed this to be the case whenever I go to report a griefer/group of pubstomping dickwads. I think they do it to hide their bad reputation/the fact that they're friends with the people on their team. I'm also fairly sure it hides information about VAC bans, but don't quote me on that.
(Also I just want to point out I'm not against people playing with their friends regularly, but there are groups of people who go out of their way to be dicks to the other team)

Pretty much what Urser said. It's so they can hide the fact that they're playing with friends/pub stomping. It also hides their hours in the game so you won't be able to tell how good they are by how much they've played it.

The "Report Violation" dropdown menu will be on the page, whether the profile is private or not.

reporting doesn't do anything unless they have nudity/racism on their profile
