I think l4d is too repetitive. The gun play pretty much means that the only way your supposed to play is by running and shooting. I also don't have any friends to play with and the game is more about socialising than friends i think

Am I the only one who wants a L4D3? I ain't sure why but suddenly I want one, I use to not want one till now.

I've always felt L4d is a more of a social experience than most. Most of the time I'm playing passively and focusing more on why one of Depeche Mode's songs upset the church.
L4D without friends is unbearable to be honest.

Only Zoey did, because SPUF willed it. But now they're a bit broke when Crash Course came around, so they're raging about that now. Or maybe I've been seeing bumped threads, I don't know.
I want L4D2 to add a game mode called classic when Cold Stream comes out.
No L4D2 Specials, L4D2 Weapons, Uncommon infected, Melees, etc.
Also in my opinion when Cold Stream comes out, L4D1 can go f2p.
Sadly that will most likely result in a lot of bad cod kiddies playing.
wow i havent checked the forums for ages, but then i come back find this magicle thread about a game i just bought. I love it, just one thing that makes it very hard for me.....THAT WIERD WAY OF AIMING. ive ragequitted from the wierd aim because im not used to it, then i tried to make it simular to hl2's aim like i want it but.....i made it much worse.....is there a way to make the aiming like in hl2? this would improve my performance alot and make it more fun. is there a way? im desparate. i dont want to buy a game then stop playing just for bad aim...

I kind of half understand what you mean, and I fixed it by disabling multicore rendering.
For some reason it made my aiming less responsive.
It's so hard to find good L4D content on DeviantArt these days. Soo much MSPaint dolls of "Original" characters like you wouldn't believe.

However, if you want your friends to join you in a custom mutation, make sure they have these VPKs installed too. Also, if you want to play a normal public game, you'll have to disable the Mutations addon because it relies on a modified game searching engine and the server won't let you connect because it reads your game as a different version of L4D2, since it's just a drastic change.

Honestly I would love a L4D3.
Even if it's just a small step up again with a few new specials, items and weapons, I'd still look forward to a whole new set of campaigns and a new cast of survivors. I'm just a sucker for the L4D series and anything new in it is always welcome to me.
It probably wouldn't be well received much at all though since it would just seem like they're milking the series, unless they really tried to bring something new to the table in terms of gameplay and the story. But since L4D is more of a run & gun & have some fun type of game they can't really pump out anymore sequels since any storytelling is usually just done between rare survivor dialogue and visual details.
How about some kinda L4D marathon? All L4D maps on Expert, we can skip CC but TS is a must. Whom ever is Bill must bite the dust though.
