Doesn't matter either way, my CPU overheats when I play almost any game for more than 10 minutes. Minecraft is one of the few exceptions because I run it on the lowest possible settings, and even on low settings, L4D2 is still a bit of a problem for me.
However, if I could run the game perfectly, I'd probably still play it. I wouldn't be happy with the hats, but I'd still play it until the community goes to shit from all the trades and economy stuff.
Hats would not ruin the game. It would just be an unnecessary and uncalled for addon that would honestly take a lot of time to implement and would result in huge protest from the community. I mean, TF2 is still playable. I actually don’t see how the hats would ruin the community, at least for me all that normally annoying economy stuff in TF2 is banished to trade servers.

I've always wondered (read: fantasized) what Left 4 Dead would be like, not with hats, but actually a fully customizable wardrobe system.

I actually had that crane break on me while playing that campaign once, where it didn't break the house, as well. It didn't look like that, though...we just decided to all suicide and start the chapter over, and it worked that time around.

That's probably why Valve adds stuff by community request (only talker fixes and the like, but not fixes like the Fixed original Survivor Hands... yet), and Bill should normally say [I]that[/I] when commenting on a Snow-themed area

I wish Valve took their own initiative and actually would go about ironing out existing flaws and bugs (visually like the twisty wrists on the Hunting Rifle or the broken L4D1 survivors animations, not just Zoey for example) instead of listening of SPUF who wants quantity and not quality.
I've managed to find a full 4v4 versus server on L4D1 each night for the last few nights, it's been so much fun playing it again. I really miss the good old days when there were so many people playing that you had to FIGHT for a place in a server, and when people didn't just blindly hit F1 the moment a votekick appeared.
So sad to see it abandoned now. I just can't get into L4D2, everything about it feels off and wrong. The models, the characters, locations... all of it feels wrong.
Is there a mod that basically just puts L4D1 into L4D2 as-is, and is actually played by anyone? I could get into that maybe.

I personally like L4D2 (especially the custom campaigns) but I exclusively play with friends now
that way we can all laugh as the Director decides to target me specifically

Yeah it was versus.
They aimbotted outside the Save 4 Less so we couldn't get near them.
Either that or they were way too good at aiming.

Needless to say it's kinda heartwarming to see the L4D survivors living regular lives post apocalypse.
Next time you get Jockey and you get a real good ride take the person over to a wall and spray the most horrible graphic nasty thing you can possibly find and just hold them in front of it and start moving back and forth for additional head humping goodness.
Best used on Alltalk but it gets a good reaction a majority of the time.
