Something new from me.

I thought this was cute.
I really don't like the whole Zoey x Ellis thing. It makes no sense in any way.
love at first sight
I really don't like the whole Zoey x Ellis thing. It makes no sense in any way.
I take it you haven't played The Passing?
I take it you haven't played The Passing?
When did they ever have a real relationship? When did something along the lines of a crush morph into a extremely intimate relationship like people love to draw?
so because its canon hes not allowed to criticize it
Err, he said he doesn't make sense. The fact it's canon means it makes sense.. It's not just random character shipping or something like that.
Err, he said he doesn't make sense. The fact it's canon means it makes sense.. It's not just random character shipping or something like that.
Implying everything that's canon makes sense.
Actually, just cause something is canon doesn't mean it makes sense. He sort of has a point, how did they develop a relationship when they saw each other twice and barely spoke. I'm not saying I oppose the idea, but they could've expanded upon it.
Agreed. ^ Also since I'm OP of the V2 of this thread imma end it at page 100. (should be long from now) Just saying though.

It's not just random character shipping or something like that.
When two characters in a series know each other well but they have no romantic relationship shipping makes sense in a way, when two characters in a series barely know each other and have no relationship at all it makes no sense whatsoever (Zoey and Ellis qualify as the latter)
it does feel forced and rochelle+francis seems like an excuse or cover up to make the former couple plausible

They are the only characters in the L4D cast that share these features, and thus they're bound to get shipped. I'm not trying to say I support this, because honestly I don't think they fit well together personality-wise.
it does feel forced and rochelle+francis seems like an excuse or cover up to make the former couple plausible
Rochelle is weird because of her personality changes in The Passing and everything else. She's a mumbly, kind of observant and dry wit character. Nothing really fantastic compared to Ellis or Nick or Coach. The Passing though, she actually seems to have an involvement in the group by motivating them and being the voice of reason. Out of all the people in the L4D universe you never would think she would have something in common with Francis about 'hating' stuff. It's strange considering she develops a fascination with guns (as an example). It's about as plausable as Nick and Rochelle; Nick's 'nice' towards her because he wants to get into her pants.

I wish there were short prologue campaigns for each character in which the character fights alone in a setting that leads them to where they meet the other survivors. I don't know why, I just think it'd be interesting to have some filler on where and what the characters did up until meeting the others. With some rebalanced gameplay aspects of course in order to suit the fact there's only 1 survivor. Heck, anything added to the game would be appreciated at this point.
i like how after almost a year cold stream is still in beta
It actually took me a second to remember what Cold Stream was. :v:
i like how after almost a year cold stream is still in beta
Valve probably figured that they should just abandon it because it was so bad and everyone would just forget about it [sp]they were right[/sp]
i like how after almost a year cold stream is still in beta
They should just remove it already, it never even actually followed up on why it was made in the first place. (A campaign in which people can send in their ideas and it could get used.) I didn't see a single idea get used anywhere throughout the campaign.
i like how after almost a year cold stream is still in beta
Valve are terrible at getting things done quickly. See: TF2 Beta.

But my dream update(s) would be a total bugfixing, polishing up project. Starting from the base game, then all the way to the DLCs. I know I emphasise it too much, but I would give anything to have L4D2 have the same kind of properly 'worked on' feel. I'm sick of the emphasis on VS.
Valve are terrible at getting things done quickly. See: TF2 Beta.
Wow, not an ep3 joke.
Instead of that terrible Cold Stream campaign, we should get a CANON campaign of what happened after the Parish, like something awry happens and the survivors must escape again. First thing that comes to mind is someone in the military ship was infected, spreading the virus all across the cruise, and the survivors must get to a boat to escape (with the ship, sinking or something). Also, they could use the excuse of escaping by boat in the middle of the sea to tie the story to the first survivors. The new ones remember they were heading for the keys so they also decide to head there (although I would prefer their story to continue).
