Did any one else get instakilled by the rocks long after they stopped moving? A good 30 seconds after the tank showed up, I was backing away from him and bumped into that rock he dropped a minute earlier. I went from 80hp to 0 instantly.

Yeah, they removed the generator in de_inferno not a long ago.

Couldn't they just make it static? Now the map is less detailed. Well at least she still has a home in the l4d1 version.

Also, wanted to give Cold Stream a shot with my girlfriend earlier, first, we both get a no steam logon error, then the next try we got a versus server while we were searching for a campaign one, and then we got a server which console kicked us about 2 minutes in. Short story shorter, didn't play it, can't be bothered with it anymore.

I knew it, chargers can move props. I think you can also block the burger tank entrance with the dumpsters, but I'm not sure.

The only part of this DLC that I'm excited for is that Crash Course, Death Toll, Dead Air, Blood Harvest and possibly The Last Stand will be ported to Left 4 Dead 2. I have to say I never died because of explosive encounters or rocks during my run with bots, but the level design was so bland and Special Infected were almost never successful in actually ambushing. That and there are no to little visual clues that lead you on your path. I stopped at least twice and had to look around before finding out where the road progressed - and even then it was mainly due to more zombies in that direction. The map has a lot of open spaces, especially when walking on the riverbed - again - which of course means less cover and ambush/team splitting possibilities for the Infected. What new graffiti was introduced was unfunny (I think it's new, never seen it and it was signed by nicknames which I believe to be involved in the creation of the map), the gimmicks like the slow-mo will get old fast (not that they were interesting at the first time), zombies climbing or standing on rocks look awkward, everything lacks polishing and borrowing Uncommon Infected like Mudmen or the Riot Cops unique to a different setting was a bad decision in my opinion since it gave the original maps they were used in a unique character. So yeah, if they want to turn this Beta into a good map, they'll probably have to start from scratch to get my approval. No idea what Valve's QA was thinking. Or how the L4D2 team enjoyed the map so much they wanted to make it official. Similar to many of TF2's community additions, I think Valve just loves the fanart they receive. Let's hope the main games of Half-Life stay clear of this.
