This is the most unnecessary feature I think I have ever seen put into Steam, and the game hubs that exist only to link to other parts of steam you can access anyway were pretty damn close.

I got into the beta... somehow, and I am not really liking how the profile looks.

I also don't understand why I should give a shit what my steam level is.

As long as Valve is adding features and not cutting any, I don't see a problem with it.

By the way guys, it looks like Foil cards a separate set.

You have 1 drop in each Foil set. So keep playing even after you have received all cards in normal set and you should receive a Foil card. (Eventually)

Apparently, you have to have atleast purchased 1 item from the shop to upgrade the f2p Dota 2 to premium like TF2 does, and once you do that, you can get card drops.
However, according to the Valve guy on the user forums, they are having quite a bit of trouble with Dota 2 card drops and are working to fix it.
