Just sold 3 global offensive trading cards for 1,20€, 0,40€ each, i didnt even know their prices but i guess its good. [editline] Edit [/editline] Also trying to sell 30 dota 2's desperately for 0,05€ each
What's the difference between trading cards and game cards ? I see both on the steam market.
Both are the same, it seems to be a naming error: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/tradingcards/discussions/1/864971765236454044/
I finally got all the card drops for all the games I own (except for that last CS:GO card), and I've made a grand total of £10.02. Just in time for the summer sales.
I would love to get a bunch of Half-Life 2 ones, but every time i do something with physics, the object slams me half way through a wall and kills me.
anyone else got this?
Yup everyone did, plus a foil one if you crafted a badge during the beta.
You get that for participating in the beta. You also get a Foil one if you crafted a badge [editline]28th June 2013[/editline] Bloody fox
I see people hating on the trading cards and stuff like it SOMEHOW affects them deeply and personally, why? It's really fun to try and collect this stuff, at least I think so.
How in the name of fuck. Is there a level cap or anything, or can they theoretically go on indefinitely?
The level cap is how much EXP you can earn from badges, I guess.
There is a 'cap' but that is only what they used to limit the level variable I geuss.
20% chance steam level 10-15, 40% 15-20, etc.
That can't be right, I have a lot of maxed games and no booster pack drop.
That can't be right, I have a lot of maxed games and no booster pack drop.

How can I get a booster pack? Once you have received all of your card drops, you become eligible for a booster pack, which is a set of 3 trading cards that may include both basic and foil cards. Booster packs are granted randomly to eligible users as more badges are crafted by members of the community. Make sure you log in to Steam each week to maintain eligibility. Once eligible, your Steam Level increases your rate of receiving a booster pack drop: Level 10: +20% increase in your drop rate Level 20: +40% increase in your drop rate Level 30: +60% increase in your drop rate Level 40: +80% increase in your drop rate Level 50: +100% increase in your drop rate (i.e. the rate has doubled) Etc.
Directly from the trading card FAQ. You're unlucky and are only level 13.
I have quite a few maxed games myself, and i'm level 31, and i have never gotten a booster pack.
I have quite a few maxed games myself, and i'm level 31, and i have never gotten a booster pack.
I got a TF2 booster pack the day they added them and I'm only level 10. You're just unlucky.
7 years of service. How big is my e-peen?
7 years of service. How big is my e-peen?
not as big as mine.
I feel like an asshat for buying cards then I remember all the money I've used came from selling cards and it balances out Still a bit of an asshat
I wonder if having more maxed games increases the chances of dropping a booster pack. Like, let's say someone has maxed their drops for Portal 2 and Half-Life 2. Does that make him more likely to drop a booster pack than someone who only has Portal 2? Assuming they both have the same level.
7 years of service. How big is my e-peen?
9 years of service, will be 10 this september, my e-peen is alot bigger

They probably just check if you are eligible for booster packs and then give you a random game pack from your maxed game list. Unless it's badge specific, so like if I craft a borderlands 2 badge, would some random guy get a BL2 pack? If that was the case I could see more maxed games having a higher chance.
9 years of service, will be 10 this september, my e-peen is alot bigger
5 years not the biggest out there but it's big enough for most women, i'll take it

Are there any special things you can only get from booster packs? They sell for a good amount on the marketplace, it seems more profitable to sell the pack and then just buy 3 more cards.
