if you care for foils - open. Otherwise - sell, mostly separate cards are cheaper in total than one pack equivalent.

With this you can notice that other than the darkness, green-ness, static and changes on the dashed lines, there's also a bit of a possibly leafy texture in the background. Waves and shit.

Nah, the chance of a foil is too great to pass up. If you manage to get a foil, it's probably 10-20x more than the pack its self. Plus, if you don't get one, you probably only lost about 20ish cents depending on the game.
I don't know what mystery cards will be for, but maybe it has something to do with Dota2? All my beta invites disappeared from my inventory, I can't access beta invite listings on Steam Market and quantity on Market lowers by ~2k every minute.

That's probably because Dota 2 is finally going out of beta soon, nothing to do with the mystery cards.

Uhh.. are your cards missing from your inventories, guys? I've checked my inventory and my mystery cards are no longer there. I got some from a swapbot yesterday and I checked my trade history; they weren't traded away, and it only shows me gaining them yesterday in the trade history.
Anyone with the same problem?

All of the artwork of the mystery cards is the same, sans the difference between regular/foil cards.
