I've had terrible luck with booster packs. Two of my other friends, who have maxed out less than 10 games, have both gotten a booster pack. One of my other friends was on vacation for the whole steam sale, played a little Sanctum 2 when he got back, and got 3 cards plus a booster pack all in the same play session. Meanwhile I've maxed out 30+ games, left steam running day and night since the summer sale began, and haven't had one pack drop. It's like the system favors people who spend less time on steam [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] And now that I've made this post, I just got a booster pack. But it's for gratuitous space battles, and those boosters sell for like 30 cents. About as much as the individual cards.
i still think boosters come in waves i always get one when people start saying "i got a booster"
there it is
I wonder... Next time a new game is up with cards, we should see how long it takes for boosters to drop on the market. If it takes a while, say, until other people find boosters, we could assume that there's waves. Speaking of which, isn't Thursday when new cards are added?

Does maxing out more games mean a higher chance of getting a booster pack, or do you have the same chance of getting one no matter how many games you qualify for?
No one knows, but I'd bet that it flags your account for a booster and then chooses a random maxed game.
maxing out games only increases the number of games you're eligible to get boosters for, however leveling up does increase the drop rate
So I apparently got a Steam Summer Sale card after the purchase of the Bioshock:Infinite Season Pass this afternoon. How?
Summer cards still dropping! They're worthless! Crash the market! CRASH THE MARKET!
I haven't liked a lot of the emoticons available. I was hoping for some kind of actually usable in conversation type thing, like game themed reaction images, but most of them seem to just be a random thing from the game that I'd never need or want to use. The only ones I have are the gmod box and missing texture and the deer from Alan Wake which I like for some reason.

The best part: It's going for 33 dollars on the market. I could get real weed for that much.
About one week ago, I got booster pack, but I didn't unpack it. Today I decide to do something with this (i had a little break from Steam, games), and I decided to unpack it ... and that what has happend: :v: I feel like playing one-armed bandit and won a lot of money.

I like the idea of calling someone a clot when they do some stupid shit
I like the idea of calling someone a clot when they do some stupid shit
And hold you up?
So were the summer cards a flop? They are at their lowest prices ever. I have 2 sets. Should I craft the badge, wait for a year to try to sell or sell now?
So were the summer cards a flop? They are at their lowest prices ever. I have 2 sets. Should I craft the badge, wait for a year to try to sell or sell now?
Meh, they won't go any lower. I suggest waiting a bit to see if they rise in the near future.
i'd sell them now, they've only been going down in value since their initial spike the only time i can imagine they'd go up in value is a very long time away, after people have crafted enough badges that there are far fewer in existence
The problem with those summer cards is that everyone thought they were a genius by hoarding them since they'd never replenish. Right now there's 40-50k of every card at extremely low prices, and there's probably just as many sitting in people's inventories in case the prices will rise. There's just not enough people giving a shit about the cards and badges so my guess is that they'll never go higher than 0,20 cents or something.
How long does it usually take for a foil card to sell? I have one for $1.31(Which is still the cheapest) and its been there all day, I am used to things selling after an hour

Took me about a whole day to sell my Strange Part: Headshot Kills
When I crafted my Killing Floor badge, it gave me a 90% off Faerie Solitaire coupon. So I bought the game, farmed it for cards, and got double my money back :v: One of the cards was a foil, my first one.
I noticed on the Market that someone bought a SS Skyrim foil card for $101 on August the 2nd.
I noticed on the Market that someone bought a SS Skyrim foil card for $101 on August the 2nd.
Probably a friend sent money to another friend so he bought him some games. It's a way to send Steam Wallet money to each other.
