I wish they started doing announcements for new cards again.
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/tradingcards/discussions/1/864973981286575231/ late, but if you subscribe to this thread you'll get a comment notification for all new card finds
I'm a little surprised Rayman Legends doesn't have cards.
Pretty useful site if you want to find an emoticon or background. It's certainly better than steamcardexchange http://ehsankia.com/steam/
is there a "h" emoticon I want to spell me name with emoticons

Trading Card Updates Hello everyone, we have a few updates today: New "Booster Pack Eligibility" dialog - you can find this in the top right of your badges page. It will list the games where you are currently eligible to receive a booster pack. CS:GO Fix - We've fixed an issue where some CS:GO owners were not getting card drops for owning the game after last Thursday's update. Trade Offer Web API - For developers, there's a new set of Web APIs available for working with Trade Offers. More information is available on the Valve Developer Community Wiki.
https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Steam_Web_API/IEconService There's the trade offer API if anyone wants it. Seems very useful for trade bots!
Badge Showcase Update 3 OCTOBER - AL Hello everyone, We've updated the Badge Showcase on the profile. When you select the Badge Showcase, you can now choose from one of four styles: Rarest Badges - The least common badges you have are shown. This is the default. Most Recent - The badges you've most recently unlocked are shown. Selected Badges - You can select which 6 badges to showcase Random - The showcase will show 6 badges at random, so it will be different every time someone views your profile.
I've wasted a bit of money
This thread seems pretty dead nowadays, but I feel like givin' it a poke. Has anyone here used Steam Trading Card Exchange? I'm thinking about trying it out, because I really want to craft badges, but I want to make sure nobody has had a bad experience with it or anything. What I really want to do is trade my extra TF2 items for trading cards, but I can never get any offers. Not even bad ones.

The only advantage of using it is they'll accept TF2 metal for trades, but even then I think they rip you off. Steamcardexchange is great for 1:1 card trades of the same game, if that's what you're looking for. I can't really comment on trading cards for cards from other games because I haven't used it for that.

Like metal and hats, and shit like that. If I could sell those on the market, I probably would, but Steam is pretty selective about what TF2 items you're allowed to sell on the market. Probably to keep the TF2 item economy from imploding. I've tried TF2 outpost, but they don't have trading cards very well implemented in their interface, so I have to ask for booster packs of the games I want, when I really just want the individual cards. I'm sure there are a lot more people out there with regular-ass cards than there are people with booster packs, so my trade would probably not be picked up by a lot of people. I'm also not entirely sure how that site works, as far as bumping your own trades, and if they frown upon making the same offer multiple times when one goes "dead." I really wish I could just talk to a nice honest person who has lots of trading cards (or can get a lot) and wants lots of TF2 items, but it seems like I have no choice but to go through awkward automated web sites. [editline]17th October 2013[/editline]
Backpack.tf overcharges. I don't seem to have a lot of options. EDIT1: Actually, now that I look at their inventory, they don't even have a lot of the cards I want. So that wouldn't take me very far. EDIT2: How many credits do you get on that site for a refined metal, anyway? I can't seem to figure it out. When I look up refined metal, it says like 3,000 credits, but that has to be referring to something else, because trading cards only cost like 10-20 credits. EDIT3 (I am pretty bored tonight): I'm gathering that the bots charge extra for cards if they have less than 3 of them in stock. And since that is the case with pretty much every card, I don't know if I really want to use this site at all.
I usually just buy the cards I need on the market and then sell the cards I got multiple of.
I usually just buy the cards I need on the market and then sell the cards I got multiple of.
That's probably the only really reliable way to do it, even if valve takes like 2 cents out of every card transaction. Can't be any worse than what third-party sites take out of transactions, especially with all that extra shit like charging 1.5x the price if you buy the last card in stock. I really want to get up to level 20 to increase my chances of getting booster packs, but that means crafting like 8 more badges. I have hardly any doubles though. I would have to just sell all the cards from games where I'm not dying to craft the badge. I really don't want to dip into my own money for the sake of steam trading cards [editline]20th October 2013[/editline] how does everyone in this thread have so many badges, jesus christ. I guess that's how "selling duplicates" becomes a viable thing to do. I'm lucky to get 1 booster pack a month at my level.

I think I've only gotten 4-5 since they came out.

A background that sold for 83,63€? I mean it's nice and all, but seems a bit much. http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/753/212200-Devil%20Costume
[t]http://broduck.ta0soft.com/misc/2013-10-31_20-59-39.png[/t] uh, why does my activity page look this way
The first one always is for trolling.
I doubt that's the case here. Since there has been sold 4 now. For 36,66€, 84,31€, 75,88€ and 42,14€
Wow, indeed. I could buy tons of cards for that money. What a waste.
The first one always is for trolling.
From his ask.fm
If it's really new and really rare, you can pretty much charge anything. Someone out there is desperate enough to have it right away.
Palmdesert did it. Level 200. http://steamcommunity.com/id/palmdesert
I was just farming cards and in Frozen Synapse the last one was the foil Red Tower. FIRST FUCKING FOIL.
I bought my first item on market, and it was this background, it said uncommon and it was the only one in market, i bought it for 0,08 euro. Is this something good or bad? [t]http://imgur.com/ohEyt92[/t] I take that as it is some bad item, but still, it was only 0,08 euro so thats okey haha.

The background isn't really anthing special, but at that price it doesn't matter all that much as long as you like it.
Any news on that card binder that was supposed to come out?
