So how does the invite wave works? Do you get it instantly or do they do it in waves?
I think it's in waves. A guy that joined the group yesterday 30 minutes before me got the invite instantly and i still don't have one.

The only thing I like about this is the profile backgrounds, otherwise still pretty cool.
Got a rec anyone got a spare spy and medic cards.

after saying you like only one thing
Selling these already made me like 3.50 euro.
Thanks whoever gifted me this beta :P
Trading
Scout, Pyro, Demo, Heavy, Spy cards for any Portal 2 cards.
Gib invite pls.
It does in fact, look like a rather cool feature. All the more stuff to play with.
So I'm a bit confused, once you get a card does it stay part of your badge progress forever or do you need to have every card in your inventory to craft?
The profile page is a complete clusterfuck and I'll probably stop talking to anyone who uses the stupid emoticons when talking to me in Steam chat
What exactly is the point of this update
It's a fun update and adds quite a bit to the community, honestly I don't see anything wrong with it.

It'll get even better once they've updated it and added more games.
Anyone here trading TF2 cards for other TF2 cards?

Well it's a possibility for Valve to make pre-order exclusives simply by making some pictures. Not to mention the fact that they're getting a cut on all those market sales of even more useless items than ever and an initiative to play/buy new Steam games.
Here is to hoping you can disable emoticons.
Anyone knows when the next wave is? I entered the group yesterday but still waiting for an invitation.
Wait, do I need to idle in Tf2/CSGO/etc to get cards?
ye but you can always choose to play them lol
Invites are going for nearly $5 a piece right now, personally I'd say just sell them, I'm sure they'll open the floodgates in a few days.

They shouldn't have allowed them to be sold, now everyone's going to try and sell them, though.

I don't want to have to bother trading with people or shell out money to buy cards I am missing.
Why Valve. Let people get all the cards on their own with time played or a one a week.

Because that would defeat the purpose of trading cards.

But you can get all the cards yourself by being ingame? Trading only speeds up the process, seeing as you're probably going to get doubles.

Actually, there's 8 cards in a set (9 for TF2) and you can only drop a max of 4 (or 5 for TF2), so you'll never ever complete a set without trading.

Dumb.
People will make accounts to get the other cards.
The card drops don't reset after crafting a game badge.
