I assume you're joking, because as far as I can tell, the gameplay hasn't changed one bit since the first version of RS. You just repeatedly click things until you shout "Aww fuckit!" and either quit or get a bot.
Since Jagex are apparently about to deal an absolutely devastating blow to all bot clients and botters, I think it's safe to say we only have one option left.

I assume that you started to play during 2008. Gameplay was TOTALY different. I don't want to start anny flamewar about new/old RS is better. But runescape gameplay has changed and so has the players. Nowdays, when you get pked or is a newbeginner of the game, people just shout out LOL NOOB L2PK or OMFG NOOB USE THE WORLDMAP FFS.
and yeah, as you said, jagex doesnt really seem to give a damn about their bots problem. they care ALOT more about the money. bots pay membership= jagex wins, normal players lose.

Pretty sure this bot update will actually work.
The clusterflutterer sounds like it would randomise the IDs, giving reflecting bots nothing to go off. Say every day it changes, you go to cut a yew and you start picking cabbages. You'd be banned very quickly if for the last week you've been cutting yews and suddenly you're on cabbages for 6 hours a day.
I actually just finished getting every quest requirement, so I don't really need to bot anymore for now. Took a long time on RiD but glad to be safe.
FYI. You won't get banned for previous bot use due to this update if it does what it sounds like. I advise you to turn off any bot you have after the update though, atleast for a while. RiD is still fine to use because it's not reflection, you could use an injection bot but they're pretty detectable.

To be honest, if you don't like grinding and whatnot, I don't know why you would be playing this game in the first place :v:
Sure, if you bot you get access to more content, but at the expense of other players, in some way or another. Even if you don't bot gold, your unfairly gained skills still will dwarf those who work for it, giving you an advantage you never really worked to get. Now, this isn't as impacting as gold botters, who are the scum of this game, but it's still quite unfair in certain circumstances, mostly in combat skills and whatnot.
Don't take this personally, it is mostly a completely out of nowhere rant. These types of games are for the type of people who have time to kill and get satisfaction out of seeing that little bar go up, ding, and do it again at a longer pace until you are satisfied or hit the cap.
Also I give that "bot nuke" a week at most before the bots start flooding in again.
I better get a move on then
