Is this polypore staff something to work towards if you like magic? I'm not sure I want to train magic for that long, considering it's a money eater...
Just use a normal battle staff, it's fine.

With 85 magic, the staff does more damage than fire surge (95) and ice barrage (94) so yes its not bad. and it costs 1/10 compared to those spells
Finished One Piercing Note, lame quest, but afterwards i did the optional tasks in the Abbey like getting the holy Cithara and making an illuminated god book.
In total, i got 60k prayer xp (10k from the book, 50k from the cithara) and 10k crafting xp (from the book).
Did another hard clue scroll....

Even with a horrible reward, the quest was amazing. I love Valerio's song so much. Now they just need to make all newer quests like this.

I'd say 40k+ prayer exp for a easy ass quest is a awesome reward
not to mention the cithara, illuminated books, and the robes that make you look more like altiar

Those limpwurts will give you 5k or so I think. The diamond is worth 10k. Sapphires will give you around 2.7k Emerald around 2k

While that quest is really annoying cause of all the walking, i found the two last ones in that questchain rather fun mostly the last one (the branches of darkmeyer)

It's not profitable anymore. Not at the moment anyways.
A clean snapdragon is 150gp more than a grimy, I don't see how that is not a profit, it's not amazing though :p
