Runescape has a certain age group, I started wen i was 14 or something. If you will look around, the age of that group will be between 13 to 18. ever wondered why there is no gore or a tragic death in the game?. The devs know the age group, and act to it.

There's plenty of tragic death and gore in the game. You just haven't gotten far enough.
Also, I would easily choose admitting I play runescape then admitting my fetishes or private shit like that. And I still watch cartoons like spongebob and cartoon network (Even though there's almost 90% shit on CN nowadays) and I openly talk about that, because fuck you, I'm 18 and I'll watch whatever the fuck I want. Runescape actually does have gore, but it's kept to a minimum.
Well if I had to pick between admitting to watch a kids show and playing Runescape I would pick shutting the fuck up and keep it to myself.

I enjoy playing RS but with every product the seller/producer has a target market, some fall a little bit out of the target group like me, which doesn't make it a bad product perse.
But with gore in the game we wouldn't have those awesome cut scenes with the cute kittens playing.
But really this game is pointed at a younger age group. When did you try this game for the first time? I think I was 8 when I first heard about this game and sure you're a badass and have seen every horror movie at that age but I'm sure Jagex don't want to deal with any complaints over how their game is too gory for their kid.
