Would we have Worldedit abilities on your server, Hang?
Yea shouldnt be hard to set it so players can use WE.
Server outdated
aw
So this rapture type city, you want to start on a fresh new map? Or build off of the old mega build?

I don't think they need to be together, since they aren't related at all and making a massive ocean close to the map on Inacio's server would be hard.
Yeah unless we want to make a huge sinkhole far away from the city, we should choose a different map.
Inacio just offered to have a new map, and we already have the whitelist and systems set up on Inacio's server. I think it should be done there.
Go for it. I just figured he didn't want to host the megabuilds anymore because of planes.
Hey guys, I wanted to see if we got started or not but I'm apparently still banned.
Hey inacio, can we get a copy of the map uploaded?
If you guys really want to do the MegaBuild again, PM me and I'll set you up with a 512MB server for a week or two.
I'd wanna do megabuild!
But it shoud be in creative mode and whitelist
I'll take place in a megabuild if I'm allocated a lot for my own large structure to build. I vouch for a futuristic build.

If we go through with the underwater city idea, it would almost certainly be futuristic.

Really? I was thinking a less advanced design, like Bioshock's; sort of a blend of old technology and new technology. So complex piston mechanisms one room, simple work-tables the next.

I dunno, really. It's hard to convey alternate technologies like that. I'm sure we would have complicated piston machines in side no matter what theme we go with though. It would probably end up being pretty futuristic whether we try to or not, considering its underwater with pistons.
Well ... Yes but only if more then 5 ppl. would join .. other then that i wouldnt make any sense
I would join but I was removed from the whitelist.

May we see some of your previous work?
go back like 2 pages, i built the cathedral towers, plenty of other stuff, built the pumphouses, warehouses, and a few ships
and also fine tuned the redstone on the ore reprocessing facility, and built something in the industrial district

Ah, right. Sorry. Should be no reason not to be able to join, then.
is the old build up for download?
im still not whitelisted
username: PsychoLucario
id rly like to get in on this build
Is anyone actually hosting this?
Is anyone actually hosting this?
Nope
PsychoLucario, there is no build or server. The server you are trying to sign into is Inacio's planes server.
Well I offered myself to set you guys a server, but nobody replied :(
ElpisHost even offered a free server just for it.
Yeah, I don't think there's enough interest in another build
Yeah, I don't think there's enough interest in another build
I think the problem is this thread isn't active enough. We should probably start drawing up plans or something just to keep the thread alive.
I'm sure a lot of people would take part if they knew this thread existed.
I'll take part, and play an active role in the building if this is still going to happen. I'd love to do this, I love big builds.
My Minecraft name is scipherneo btw, I'll check back on this thread today and some tomorrow to see what happens and if we get an IP. The second we get an IP and i'm whitelisted, i'll be there.
I'd say the next idea is we do a TRON like tower, surrounded by a city.
Since we don't have a new thread, and someone suggested we make a plan, here's my idea:
We do the Rapture city everyone has been talking about. Buildings sit on a grid on the ocean floo, and cannot come within eight blocks of the surface. Apart from that there are no restrictions. I recommend we go for a unique art style, with buildings having designs that would not work on dry land (floating platforms, massive glass domes, etc.) There should als be underwater streets between the buildings, lit by glowstone lanterns and given park benches and such, plus a submarine dock.
One the surface there should be a floating tower connecting the residents of the city to the surface world. It is were all visitors have to pass through to enter. It should be tall,, with a beacon at the top (colored glass mod?) and be connected by an elevator or stairway to the bottom.
Beneath the city we have the slums. Thee are long, narrow, and dimly lit tunnels and apartments dug beneath the ocean floor and connected to the above by a few well-secured gates and a few holes to the open ocean. These slums should be large and hard to navigate. There should also be an underground stadium for public entertainment, a mine, and maybe a couple of secluded vaults and the like.
The city should be huge, though we don't have to give it the retro bioshock look. Futuristic is also nice.
So, what do you think?
