What the fuck is up with the the holes in the roofs? I can imagine that it's probably because it's the poor part of town, but it looks like fucking Swiss cheese. Either make it look good, or don't do it at all, 'cause right it looks like ass.

Yeah, there it is. The red area is poor as fuck, and I guess it includes the orange area as well. I understand that people might want to live up the poor area a bit with wool, glass and other stuff, but really, don't. The worst offender I've seen is books. Poor people can't afford books. Poor people can't even read. Glass is very expensive as well, so don't use that. Wool should be really sparse, and dyed wool pretty much non-existent. Even something as trivial as artificial lighting (torches) should be cut down to pretty much one per room. Not more. Poor people sleep at night (unless they have sex, but their wives are probably ugly anyway, so why turn the light on?), and use the daylight when it's, well, day. So don't use too many torches. Also, the little group of houses in one end of the poor district, is not really integrated well enough. I advice people to take a stroll through the streets (not flying over, people don't fly), and get the feel of it. It should be so, that when you look down a narrow street (2 blocks, only 1 in one place, actually), your view should be blocked by another building. When you look up, you should see a little slit of the sun, not much more. So build close. This was kinda like a rant, but it was meant to be somewhat friendly.
Side-note: Don't make holes in buildings, and don't replace some of the gravel with dirt. Even poor people can afford dirt, and not every poor person have 25 1x1 meter holes in the roof. So please refrain from doing that while I sleep, I don't really want to fix it up again.
If you guys get a chance, get on the server later. I'm building a half-abandoned, half-occupied condemned mansion in the poor sector with a bit of a backstory. I've barely started, it's the building that looks boarded up.
Guys if this is going to be a successful megabuild, I think we should all use the same texture pack.

I understand it's the ghetto district and meant to be badly layed out but this just bad.
The stone building isn't even meant to be there, it was part of some architecture test field we set up to try out building designs and nobody demolished it even after we decided on the style.
