My Hammerlord is a sick bastard. I send him lowly goblin prisoners to be killed, and he damn well takes his time killing them, like 10 pages each of horrible beating. He literally clawed through some bastards head last time, and his fists are almost as powerful as his masterwork silver hammer, shattering bones like crazy.
Thank god my military is desensitized, if one were to tantrum my entire fort would be gone in an orgy of blood.

My fort is coming along nicely, except for some food shortage. My Animal Dissector somehow became extremely unhappy while everyone else is very content, so what he did was stand around in the dining hall and died of thirst. But I didn't mind, he was kind of worthless. I also got my militia on track. This is the first time i've played in quite a while. Played it in -09 but I gave up quickly. Got back to it after reading the illustrated Oilfurnace by Tim Denee, freakin' fantastic is what it is.
Since i'm relatively new to the game, I suppose cotton candy is adamantine? And "the circus" is some sort of super jolly fun beings that emerge from the underground, hell-bent on making you have a good time with lots of fun?

Here's the Lazy Newb Pack, which contains a few tilesets, (I like Phoebus) and will install them for you, it also lets you disable aquifers, contains utilities like Dwarf Therapist (a godsend) and several other things.

Put two dwarves in a fist fight in the arena using your raw files when it asks at the start and see if the messages mention outer brain

My military dwarves are sick bastards. This guy has so many bolts in him, and that doesn't even count the ones that didn't lodge themselves in.
Well the goblin and the lungfish won't fight, they're just sitting there doing nothing...
Now I need to wait for them to starve and die so the room will be clear.

Yeah, but whenever I get migrants (which is all the damn time) I end up creating 3-4 more squads of all wrestlers armed with nothing. My strategy in combat is just to overwhelm the enemy with raw dwarves. :v:
In an effort to become as Dorfy as possible, I'm trying to think of a way to weaponise plump helmets. So far I've not got anything.

Stone detailing + masonry + metalcrafting to all migrants = Army of block makers, detailers and metal/stone structure makers.

Brewing plump helmets gives spawn, as does a dwarf eating them raw. Cooking them destroys the spawn, so you can disable cooking them in the z menu, if you want to.

also, i've made a habbit of dropping traders into pits to get all their goods...

They'll count the traders not coming back as "0 profit" so they'll probably bring less next year. They haven't done anything radical to me in this version, for my abuses...
Also, armoursmith gets posessed and makes a lead shield with wooden rings. Why a posession!? It's all that I ever get with the annoying skills to level up :v:
Anyone know if weight factors into a shield bash damage? A lead shield would probably cave in someone's skull... and the artifact quality means it should offer amazing defence.
