still yours derp
No, it's not, derpy mcgee. Most bloodline/lineage games last for a year (spring to spring), and that's how long I played. I put the files up, so whoever's next can start.
okay i contacted adbor he has 24hrs to respond then we skip him.
Is it my turn then?
In a day it will be if he doesn't respond.
Oh. Didn't look at the post date. Woops.
Did they change iron ore's spawn properties or something? I can't seem to find any. I'm digging in the right ground layers as well.

Search for an area with both surface and deep metals, if you settled on an area with neither then you're screwed.

goblin ambush led to a tantrum spiral due to the lack of available coffins. :saddowns: And then a troll started beating people, and then MIGRANTS came. I had fun.
welp. time to sit in my fort and do nothing all day [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] and as if in response, i've had a massive rise in birth rates since the siege started. it's kind of awesome :3: [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] Plus the fact I went from 47 dwarves to 6 and now i'm back at 108. this game owns~
People give up too easily if their fortress falls to a tantrum spiral or disease or whatever. Even if you have only one or two dwarves left, you can most likely survive until the next immigrant wave. Rising from the ashes just makes victory feel even sweeter. Not that you can win in the end, but still.
There are giant badgers in my fort. :froggonk:
Canuhearme?'s banned? That sucks, he's one of the most helpful and awesome players. Sure it was a valid reason so I won't question it, though. In other news, started a new fort using Orkel's balance mod and disabled weather for the first time. It's all going well so far, spotted some black bears that I'd like to train. Thinking of having all the buildings the same oblong shape for no apparent reason.
I'm here, I'm here. Starting in a second. [editline]16th June 2011[/editline] filesmelt 404'd, can you rehost

Hope he makes an alt. [editline]16th June 2011[/editline] devlog
Starvation was leading to some ghost town issues that weren't being handled when it populated the buildings (it would spread people out too thinly), so now there are lots of abandoned buildings in the busted towns which should lead to lots of interesting adventure opportunities. Various elves and humans co-habitating, although it saddened me to see an elf bone carver running a bone craft shop. I guess the forest got knocked all the way out of that one.
Should we do something to compile all of the posts into one long string of stuff.
I was on an epic quest to hunt down and slay a demon that had led goblin attacks against my dwarf's nation for a couple of centuries and then I realised that only humans have actual sites in adventure mode now. Damn. I modded the other races to use cities but it's kind of unstable. Legends viewer is also awesome with adventurer mode.
Just got 2 "fun" today. One by a megabeast and another one by goblin siege. Well, I am somewhat happy because these are my first time.
:foxnews: MORE DWARVEN JOURNALS UNCOVERED, MORE AT 11 :foxnews:
1 Slate 1054, Early Spring I am Adbor, the newly elected leader of Scartongs (not that the election was rigged or something) I've decided to take a closer look at my new land. Oh my. I have no idea which of my predecessors had the wondrous idea to construct a trade depot in the middle of a brook but this gives me an idea. Note to self: incorporate waterslide trading This is a mess too huge for me to handle and I'm never coming back here again. What I did notice, however, was the abundance of dwarven corpses around. I'm getting around to building them a cozy graveyard. In fact, it's being finished as we speak. Fancy, huh? And it got filled in a second by ghostly and earthly creatures. 23 Slate 1054 An elven caravan has suddenly appeared on the borders of the land! I must hurry with the wonderful waterslide for those magnificent creatures! How much fun we will have together! I've had a carpenter deliver an artifact cage. I've put it outside in the new meeting hall for everyone to masturbate to it. 6 Hematite 1052, Early Summer We've finally managed to awake the waterslide. It didn't at all go according to plan. Note to self: actually DROWN the fucking elves. I am including images by the finest dwarven sketchers. Here is an image of elves in Limestone. The elves are waiting for the mechanisms to turn. Here is an image of elves and water in Limestone. The elves are shouting. The water is flooding the elves. This image commemorates the wonderful test waterslide test in Scartongs in 1054. Here is an image of water and a buffalo. The buffalo is dead. The buffalo is blocking the fucking floodgate so it can't be closed. The water keeps flowing and will soon completely eradicate all life in the natural caverns below. For some reason, the elves have fallen into a room below, where they are safe from everything but hunger (and thirst, once I cut down the water somehow). Turns out that second ettin I had a while back managed to cripple one of my dwarves after she lost her sword in a freak magma cannon testing incident. I hadn't noticed and she nearly got killed she and the ettin fought to the death over the course of about a month or so, before the ettin finally got bored and broke the floodgate. Just got the hospital set up, hope she survives. [editline] [/editline] just found out that my best weaponsmith/armourer has been working with both arms and one leg broken with no medical attention for about 3 years :v:

Holy Shit. from: http://twistedspeedo.com/?p=478
Gahaha. That's morbidly funny.
That made me think of a lava trap. yay.
Yay a cyclops has come! Maybe it'll destroy these three Goblin sieger squads. [editline]19th June 2011[/editline] lol nope, took one bolt and ran away then died. :I
In addition, engravings have commemorated the construction of roughly three limestone towers inside the city's pallisade. These seem to have been used as watch towers. Apparently, the current mayor had created a masterful serving of kidney and liver biscuits.
I don't think I'd ever want the civilization I live in to be run by a guy named "Turdblossom"..
You'd also not want the leader to be handling your food. Also, isn't someone going to update this thing?
