I think that someone designed a good way to obsidianise the clowns. Ahh, here. http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=94140.0
Enslave the clowns and use in overly complex elf killing devices.
Fucking Colonize the clown tent.

[editline]31st October 2011[/editline]
Fucking Colonize the clown tent.
It shall be done.
I just resumed playing this game again and I've noticed that it lags quite a lot for some reason. Has it occurred to anyone else since the doctor update?

I wish toady would stop worrying so much about enhancing the game mechanics and add more hats...
Wow, just got decimated after a dwarf went beserk and opened a lava floodgate, good news is, last action of my dwarfs was to open the other one and drown some dirty tree hippies in fire.
I wish toady would stop worrying so much about enhancing the game mechanics and add more hats...
right? how am I supposed to be happy with 'leather cap?' edit: ☼leather cap☼
I wish toady would stop worrying so much about enhancing the game mechanics and add more hats...
Hats? Masks are much rarer thus clearly more valuable.
Oh god a dragon arrived at the same time an Elf caravan did, wiped them out, and left, Dragon-bro.
Hats? Masks are much rarer thus clearly more valuable.
It would be cool if dwarves could make masks. Hell in folklore they made and wore animal masks I think.
It would be cool if dwarves could make masks. A dwarf fully decked out from head to toe in Armok's finest metal is for all intents and purposes, invincible.
Because masks are the only thing standing between you and an invincible dwarf. A dwarf fully decked out from head to toe in Armok's finest metal is for all intents and purposes, invincible.
Blunt damage seems to fix that.
It would be cool if dwarves could make masks. Who remembers RageMidget? The dwarf with his rage stat at 95/100 "in a constant state of internal rage", wearing full iron armor, dual wielding two named legendary steel warhammers, with a loincloth around his waist, a cape on his back and a hood on his head. My old fort's strongest superhero warrior dwarf. Damn that fort had a lot of fun stuff. There was also HandlessBob who had his right arm ripped off by a cave ogre. And some time later a forgotten beast ripped off his left arm. And his leg nerves were severed as well so the only way he could move around was by slithering along the ground like a snake.

I've decided to play in a terrifying savvanah biome. [sp] Goddamn skeletal elephants keep coming in and wrecking my shit. [/sp]
Getting along fine, all of a sudden, badger storm out of fucking nowhere. It was like a hurricane of claws, teeth and dwarf limbs.. they even killed the horses.
Getting along fine, all of a sudden, badger storm out of fucking nowhere. It was like a hurricane of claws, teeth and dwarf limbs.. they even killed the horses.
only in dwarf fortress
only in dwarf fortress
Also featuring smelly hippie bonfires (I reaaaaaaally hate Elves for some reason :v:)
Hats? Masks are much rarer thus clearly more valuable.
Turtle shell helmet is the #1 headwear.
God dammit, I was in a lecture in Uni and this page had me almost pissing myself laughing, there's something about Dorf anecdotes that are so damn funny
Starts working on my best fortress ever Doesn't autosave Two hours in Power goes out for four days. On my birthday. :smithicide:
I know that feel bro, had a 10 year fortress with limestone block skyscraper apartments and massive aboveground buildings (forgery with two 4 forge wings and a smelter section, multi-story hospital, palace and necropolis) and my hard drive decided to shit itself and die.
And his leg nerves were severed as well so the only way he could move around was by slithering along the ground like a snake.
Reminds me of that Zero Punctuation Deus Ex review. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/4093-Deus-Ex
And it has intuitive inventory sorting, and a health system where you can get all your arms and legs blown off and have to slither over to a health station using only your lips.
Quick Question: Do gear assemblies and axles work underwater?
Once a militia squad all prefer to be training rather than civilian duties, can I have them all train nonstop besides having 2 go on break at a time?
Me and the folks at uni have gotten into DF (I'm the only one who's had prior experience) I never knew about managers. THEY'RE AWESOME.
Reminds me of that Zero Punctuation Deus Ex review. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/4093-Deus-Ex
In the D2 station on Spacestation13 we had a similar incedent, some sort of space fuckery blew a guys arms and legs off while running for the escape shuttle with only seconds left. You know that classic scene where the blast door is sliding down and the guy isn't going to make it? It was like that with blood coating every surface and some guy furiously doing the worm to get under. Going to try and get DF to run tonight, and going to do it properly this time could somebody do me the massive favour of providing the direct links for DF, Orkel's square ASCI and balance and that manager programme? (All sites purtaining to these are blocked, making obtaining them very difficult, plus finding non work internet will be a trek in itself)
