Everyone thought it was a joke but it turned out to be real. I ended playing HoN and missed the event.. but I bought the items before they got super expensive so I'm good.

So I'm on Spring Break and my Steam Library seems to be very boring at the moment. I started playing this game a few weeks ago but stopped since I got turned off by the learning curve of the game (not the fighting mechanics, it's just hack-and-slash). Is there any guide that I can read?
Also can someone explain to me the channels? Are they basically like servers? Which is the best one?
Other things I'm confused about:
1) Currency System
2) Inventory System
3) Boat System

Channels are instances that fit X amount of players. If everyone was in 1 channel, it would be overfilled.

I tried vindictus with an xbox controller and meh, I prefer keyboard still. The only thing I prefer controller for is racing and sidescroller fighting games.
I'm fine with a keyboard. No need for a controller.

Vindictus is fighting.. not arcade stuff but still hack and slash button mashing.
Does the 360 gamepad work out of the box with this game? Or do I need to use Xpadder or whatever?

Yes. Though obviously with the limits of the Source Engine. It's limited to be instance based. Everywhere you go is an instance. Still fun though.

Yea, you can. Though I'm not sure but when I first started playing I had to redo the Xbox controller settings every time I started up the game. I don't know if it's fixed now but yes it has 360 controller support just like other Source games.
Does anyone play this game on the NA East server? I feel so lonely. :(
