I respectfully disagree.
All the Sonic games basically turned for the worse after Sonic Adventure 2.
This does look pretty promising. I hope its a classic game with lots of speed and action, and not some cheesy love story where Sonic goes after a human girl.

Sonic Heroes wasent bad really, just decent. Shadow The Hedgehog was a mess. And Sonic 06 is just a trainwreck with a story stacked with plotholes. And i liked Unleashed and its day stages. I was impressed enough with the Generations demo they released since it didnt feel half assed like Sonic 4.
With all these soundtracks I accidentally threw my wallet to the monitor!

Honestly Sonic '06 wasn't so bad as a concept. If everything turned out well and if they got to perfect and polish the gameplay and scenes it would've been amazing.

He proceeded to recommend I preorder Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, and I sheepishly accepted. I forgot to pick it up, and due to the fact it's five years later, I think I'm a tad late.

Honestly, even though I believe Sonic '06 is not a product any human being should ever have to pay for with how broken and unfinished it is, the employee had no right to deny and refuse to allow you it. I could also go into a whole tirade of why I didn't like Sonic '06, but then I couldn't even play half the game because the disk I rented was so scratched that Shadow's and Silver's stories were unplayable.
Rather important but while the console version will feature rivals and sonic friends, none of them will be playable from a recent interview.
However DIMPS has found a way to fuck up the 3ds version by announcing that classic sonic will have a homing attack.
