Either way, IT LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL.
Looks like Sonic Generations might actually be good. I think it's at the point in the Sonic cycle where they should be introducing new characters, and all I've heard is that they're bringing in non-playables ones that people actually enjoyed.

Well it did happen for Spiral Knights, and that is technically SEGA so there's the chance. I [I]really[/I] hope there's a crossover, seeing as those are pretty much my 2 favorite games (game series for Sonic, but you get the point).

I'm not ruling it out, I just kinda think it's unlikely to happen, but it would be awesome if they did and the items were "creative."

To be fair, they seem to have been aware of the fact that people didn't like the franchise being oversaturated with characters for a while now, but this time they seem to be using existing characters people like instead of creating new characters that people would hopefully like more than the old ones.

Yes, it has steamworks, so I'm waiting for that version.
I wonder if they'll be redoing the songs in some of the levels. I really liked some of the songs in the first few games.

Check out some of the earlier pages of the thread. Every level has a re-done or re-mixed version of the original theme, with the option of listening to a straight port of the classic soundtracks.
