I showed my friend some videos of this game and now he has hope in the Sonic franchise again. The last Sonic game he played was Unleashed, but he didn't like Unleashed cause of the Werehog, yet he loved the Day time stages. And since he's a huge fan of the classic games as well, he said he might REALLY enjoy this game. It's good to see I'm not the only one in my "Call of Duty lovers" area who likes Sonic games.
Platformers will always have a special place in my heart and I wish more were still made.

There has been a bunch of great platformers released recently, so it still seems that the game industry can be more than an FPS genre.

Really? I didn't know. None of them ever come out for PC and I don't have any consoles.
3DS version just looks like Sonic Rush, sadly.
Oh hey! I actually had forgotten that I had even played Sonic Rush. Hah :v:
I was really looking forward to getting this game for the 3ds to.

Sonic Colors, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Kirby's Epic Yarn(with a friend, at least), Limbo, and Donkey Kong Country Returns were all amazing, to name a few. Upcoming games like Rayman Origins and Super Mario 3D Land look great, as well.
I was really hoping to buy the box retail version of this game but it looks like I'll have to pick it up on Steam if they're going to offer so many pre-order bonuses.
hnngh pc version looks amazing
Sonic Generations might actually look good in stereoscopic 3D.
Wish I could see how it turns out.

Sonic Boom wont even be in the download of Sonic CD coming soon, so why would it be in Generations.

So it's gonna have the worse version of the music then?
Sorry I just prefer the NTSC/US Soundtrack over the Japanese one. Most of the Japanese music doesn't fit at all with the levels and is way to happy sounding for what is going on.
I heard the Classic Boss music :D

I like the American music too, but if theres any specific song out of the japanese soundtrack i like it has to be the final boss theme.
And they cant use the american soundtrack due to liscensing issues, but Sega would like to get ahold of it.

All of them are either indie games or part of an existing franchise that may or may not have died out in the 90s. It's still not doing particularly well as a genre, but you're right that it's doing better than, say, arcade-style shooters.

That is an awesome model of the Egg Mecha.

Im sorry what.
You say this, and Kirby's Return to Dreamland comes out this month, then Sonic Generations and Rayman Origins AND Super Mario 3D Land next month. Yeah, im pretty sure its doing just fine as a genre.

Why wasn't this chosen as the Sonic Colors level?

Woah, trippy, I like it.
So Sonic Retro hacked the two Sonics into eachother's levels from the demo and discovered the elemental shields and all.
If they get their hands on the PC release, god only knows what they're going to do and find with it. (If the Casino Night DLC is in the game files instead of separate, for example, I bet they're going to crack it unless Sega tries to prevent that.)

I'm 90% sure it's in the game files.

Speaking of which, is the casino night DLC in the PC version?
