The one in Sonic RPG for the DS (forgot the name) sucked. I demand a new one.
The original team member who created Chao gardens back then is gone, which is probably why they dont do it properly anymore and stopped trying. Like the poor mans version of a chao garden in Nights on Wii was really awful.
Yeah the main programmer behind the Chao Garden left. Still I find it "odd" for Sega to completely abandon the idea, considering how immensely popular it was.
So, found out that Chrome Gadget plays as a alt track for Speed Highway.
Well, let's see how it turns out in the future: http://spong.com/article/25624/SEGA-Brutally-Honest-on-Classic-Sonic

No more Classic Sonic after this? Fuck that shit. I still only enjoy the 2d Genesis/Sega CD Games other than Sonic R and will continue to do so. If they were smart they would do what Capcom is doing with megaman and make more sonic games in 16bit style. People loved the fucked out of the newer Megaman games when they did that.
I wish they'd take a good look at Sonic's old nemesis, Mario, and see how successful Nintendo has been by continuing to release games with the classic gameplay style (New Super Mario Bros.). It's like they're intentionally ignoring how great that would be for fans.

And we all know how that turned out, although if they put effort into it like they did with Generations, the next 'episode' could be a lot better.
I mean honestly why not just keep releasing games with both gameplay styles? Some would be classic sonic and others would be modern, why bother trying to justify it at all?

They misinterpreted its failure as "Oh looks like this gameplay style won't sell anymore" rather than "Oops we totally fucked up the control and speed"
The problem with Sonic 4 is they used Modern Sonic in it + didn't really do anything "classic" other than reusing old boss battles with a twist to them.
Considering Classic Sonic might be able to unlock the Homing Attack in Generations (in the 3DS version at least), and otherwise, it doesn't seem out-of-place for a classic-style game with the Homing Attack / Modern Sonic. I mean, NSMB uses the Butt Pound, wall kicks, and so forth from the 3D titles, not to mention Mario's [minor] speaking and no one gives a damn. Yet when the 'modern' Sonic, who still is Sonic, is used along with the Homing Attack in a 'classic' game, shitstorms galore. Granted, Sonic 4 Episode 1's music was terribad, the physics were wonky from being retooled from the Rush engine, etc.; but hating a game for the Sonic design they used (and he evolved into) and for a single one of his moves is ridiculous.
I don't mind having new abilities, but the homing attack is really only justified in a 3d level. If you can simply fly at something automatically, how is there any challenge in a 2d platformer? If they made it function like the fire shield attack in sonic 3 it would be fine by me though.

Like im pretty sure Super Mario 3D Land is gonna be what sells the 3DS this christmas. The only Mario games that come to mind that not everyone agrees on is the american Mario Bros 2 and Mario Sunshine. I mean you can just see the degrading quality slowly once Sonic turned 3D, it didnt turn out as prosperous as Mario, not until Sonic Unleashed i say where they introduced the modern gameplay we have today for Colors and Generations.

Ha. Apparently some Best Buy was already selling copies of the 360 version already. http://www.tssznews.com/2011/10/27/sonic-generations-street-date-allegedly-broken-in-north-america/

That's why I'm still waiting on a confirmation for Megaman X9.
Mega Man. Dont even get me started.
Is it really a big deal?
Is it really a big deal?
Apparently for Capcom it is, they really hate their own mascot recently.
Apparently for Capcom it is, they really hate their own mascot recently.
Oh I thought you were correcting me on my spelling of "Megaman" with "Mega Man". But I agree with you. Legends 3 would have sold like hotcakes but NOOOOOOO.

I've got a very passionate and angry mindset about Capcom's treatment of the Blue Bomber's series and all, but this topic is about a blue hedgehog. :v: Sucks that PC players don't get the Casino Night DLC, as far as I can tell. But like I said a few pages back; if it's in the game data, hackers will probably crack it open anyway.

Well, I feel accomplished. I just pre-ordered Generations via Steam and got the S3&K/S3DB bonuses. After a little less than an hour of play, I already have the S3 levels done with Sonic & Tails and all seven Chaos Emeralds (first time i've gotten all seven). Yeah, everyone probably has the game twenty times over by now, but seriously - i've encountered no audio problems, everything works as it should and it definitely 'feels' better than how Classics Collection for the DS emulated it. Then again, that's not saying much.
Some guy who bought the game at Best Buy uploaded the first three cutscenes.
