Oh and by the way, Sega did a really good job porting the original Sonic. It looks really sharp on my HDTV, none of that emulation shit with a blurry image. Shame they couldn't do Sonic Adventure 2. Or Sonic Adventure with the Dreamcast models.
Any footage of it? I tried searching. No dice.

Would have been nice if:

Did I see some Rooftop Run hate on the previous page?
DID I REALLY SEE SOME ROOFTOP RUN HATE?
It's one of my favorite levels in Generations. It really gives that "happy-go-lucky" vibe.
I WAS skeptical about Planet Wisp being included so soon but
THAT MUSIC
THOSE HD GRASSY AREAS
HNNNNNNNNNNNG
Got off work and moused over Generations in my Steam Library. The pre-loading has begun!
I don't understand why people hated Unleashed so much, I mean yeah, one half of the game was terrible but the daytime stages use the same gameplay elements (albeit a little less polished ones) as modern sonics stages and the general consensus for those have been that they are pretty damn fun.
Sonic Unleashed was super fun if you exploited to speed run.

The more I watch this video, the more I realize THIS is how I see Sonic. Insane speeds. His speed is not all that impressive in the games really. I guess for a hedgehog it's fast, but from the videos, shows and movies he's much faster.
Whoo, just got my code from GreenManGaming. Time to preload! And only [del]twelve[/del] nine hours left to go 'till release, too!
Clearly, funky music is needed.

I don't hate the level itself, guys.I loved it in Unleashed. I hate the Generations version of the level because of some cheap deaths. The Sonic 0'6 level especially, I mean goddamn. That tornado at the end was an asshole.

That is not sonic music :I
That is not sonic music :I
It's the main theme of '06, 'His World', remixed.
I'd say it's technically Sonic music, unless themes/remixes don't count to you.

Avatar somewhat fits, to be totally honest I only died once or twice in seaside hill and.. nothing after that. I got hit a LOT but the game gives you far more rings then you'd ever need to survive and the platforming isn't THAT hard. Maybe it's because I knew what to expect from playing colors though, who knows.

This version is also done by the entire Zebrahead band (as opposed to only 2 of them in the original version) and is in one of the Official OSTs for Sonic 06 as well.
The one in that video is probably my favorite version.
Also, pre-ordered Sonic Generations right now and pre-loading!

Still begging my FL to gift me the game :(
My main complaints about Sonic Generations would have to be two things:
1. The modern stages seem to be either 50/50 or 75/25 when it comes to the ratio of 2D to 3D gameplay.
2. The Time Eater battle is a load of shit. The rings you need just to keep trying fly by you and the navigation controls are the worst I've ever seen.
Already pre-loaded the game yesterday.
And now I must wait three hours and 16 minutes.
Hrrrng 3 hours. 3 HOURS.
I'll give this one last shot:
If anyone has any form of kindness in them to give, I would greatly appreciate a copy of this game. I've been in a huge financial loss recently and could use an extra bit a of kindness to brighten things up for me. Just add me on steam and/or PM me here. I'd really appreciate it.

[sp]Okay, they were in the Wii/PS2 versions too, but you didn't need to collect them to get to the next level. You just needed to collect them to enter those Gaia Temple sub-missions.[/sp]
Does Sega even understand that the thing we want most from a Sonic game is the Chao garden back?
Does Sega even understand that the thing we want most from a Sonic game is the Chao garden back?
The guy who made the Chao Garden stuff, and was probably the most influential in getting them in the older 'modern' games, left Sega a good while ago. It probably wouldn't be hard to create a new one or replicate it, but honestly, if a completely optional side portion of the game is more important to some than the actual games they're in, then there's something wrong there.
Hell, maybe folks should try to get a side-game that's only about the Chaos. I'd seriously want to see how big that sells with how many people loved the Chao Gardens. :v:

I couldn't agree more, I just have to kill one more hour.
Oh yeah. The boss battle isn't really the best at all, and the controls seem really wonky. The conept was great, but Sega didn't seem to execute it properly.
Oh well. The rest of the game makes up for it.
Does Sega even understand that the thing we want most from a Sonic game is the Chao garden back?
Not really lol. The Chao Garden stole up hours of my childhood but I won't whine about it literally every time a sonic game's announced. It's far from the most important thing in their games. If you want it so badly go boot up DX or Adventure 2: Battle.
So... Can my 9800 gtx run this? :v:
I don't feel like paying $50 for a console version.
I really enjoyed the demo for this, but I think I'll wait for the price to drop a bit.
Graphics are gorgeous.

According to minimum specs, yes.
Ten minutes.
Have fun guys!

I'll probably just wait to build my new PC later this month then, and probably rent the console one. :P
