[sp]Just kidding.[/sp]
God, i can't help but remember Angry Joe's review of the game every time I hear this. Probably because it got the damn song stuck in my head after it, but still.
Man, trying to get all of these Red Rings is an utter bitch, and I dread trying to complete the Doppleganger races mainly because I tend to make a lot of mistakes.
nvm wrecked his shit

Come on step it up
[sp]lifted from SA[/sp]
This is the first sonic game I've bought and played since sonics 1/2/3 (and sonic and knuckles, can't remember where that goes) when I was little and I'm having great fun, instant nostalgia from the first zone.
Did anyone get stuck on shadow for fucking ages? I beat him it just took 17 minutes :v:
The skills make this really awesome. I love the fact that endless boost prevents you from getting rings, keeping it a challenge. How do you get homing for classic though? And are there any other skills worth noting?
You get the homing attack by collecting all the red rings in classic Planet Wisp.
I wasn't too sure about getting the homing attack for classic gameplay, but oh my. It feels perfect, and the animations are d'awwwtastic.
if anyone here has one, how does sonic generations play on an i5 2500k?
if anyone here has one, how does sonic generation play on a i5 2500k?
Well, it worked well on my brothers computer at about 30-40 fps (intel dual core, 2 gb of RAM, geforce 8600 GT). On 1024x768 with AA off, shadows and reflections on low. So I'm pretty sure it will work for you just fine.
Also I can't get enough of this song:

just wanna know im upgrading stuff and my current stuff is very bad stuff.
and stuff
Ok, this has been bugging me for a while now and I've been dying to ask and I'm sure it's been asked many times before.
Sure it runs great but why the fuck couldn't they take out the goddamn xbox 360 buttons on the interface? Doesn't seem very "this is a good console port" to me really.

my ears were not ready
in a good way

When I heard that song I nostalgia'd hard, This was the first game I had on the old cd that my dad got me as a gift for a birthday, and I played the shit out of it.
Was happy to hear it in-game.
How does one do time attack in this game? I can't seem to find it.

I loved those Chao in Space movie posters in the Adventure games.

I'm going to be getting the same CPU. My friends and I have figured out that it basically performs just as well as most of the i7s, except that the i7 can compress in 7zip faster...lol(meaning it'll run most everything fine and most certainly max SG) I'm also going to be getting a GTX 460 though, though my 9800 GT right now is acceptable. I'd rather be able to bump up my graphics in more games for once.
You want further mindfuck? Classic Sonic sees all these people he's never met before and goes on to become the Modern Sonic. Now imagine all of Sonic's encounters with new characters over the series from the new 'Classic' perspective of him growing up to 'Modern'.
Also, Modern Sonic inspires Classic Sonic to do the Homing Dash/Attack. Which would mean Classic Sonic would remember the Time Eater events or something due to a stable time loop, yet Modern Sonic recognizes nothing. Jesus Christ. :suicide:
Now i'm learning to only take time travel stories at face value instead of trying to comprehend them.
I remember Doc Brown explaining this with a chalk board.
Also when you're in the overworld as modern Sonic start a boost and then hold the opposite direction and continue to tap the boost button to see Sonic walk the Dinosaur. Or propel himself via explosive chilidog diarrhea.
my 360 controller's lb button is broken and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, mostly it just randomly presses itself constantly and I can't fix it, have no cash to buy a new one
I really don't want to play this game with the keyboard, is there any program I can use to rebind the lb button to like select(It's less comfortable but I can actually hit it 100%)? Xpadder works but the control is a lot more sensitive and I can't use the RT/LT triggers with it for some reason(5.7).

The 2500k should more than enough for high end gaming today and should definitely run this game to its full potential on the side of processing. The extra features and price difference found in the i7 models make no difference at all for gaming and is instead used for programs that fully utilise its 8 threads and hyper-threading technology. I made a post similar to this previously here:
You should really be aiming for a Sandybridge i5 2500k or the cheaper AMD Phenom II X4 955, if you're not overclocking and thinking of the 955 then stick with the i3-2100 since it's equivalent to the 955 at stock speeds. Ram is incredibly cheap and you could get 4GB of DDR3 for around $20. Depending on your computer you might need to upgrade other components such as the GPU, PSU and even the case if it's a prebuilt. Anything in the $400-$500 budget will do you great depending on what you can salvage from your current build.
Personally I'm waiting until I can fully upgrade my desktop before playing this game. Being on a dual core makes a lot of current generation games nearly unplayable in the factor of processing power.
