I wish I was patient enough with this game to set record or something, but after finishing the game and collecting everything, doing a level over and over to achieve near perfection doesn't appear trilling at all. Hopefully they'll release new content soon, I'd pay a lot to see Metal Harbor again. (Or pretty much every sonic/shadow levels of SA2)
Added. Also I'm rather lonely as well so anyone's free to add me too.
Thanks, mate.

I hate it when people say "Shadow the Hedgehog" was a bad game because of guns and slightly tuned-up violence, and that Sonic games were meant to stay child-friendly. Uh, yeah. Take a look at "Conker's Bad Fur Day" for example. The game was supposed to be a child-friendly game too, and we all know what happened. Not saying CBFD was a bad game. In fact, it was an amazing game! Was Shadow the Hedgehog the same level of great? Certainly not, but it's not bad because of shit like the increased maturity. Hell, "Shadow the Hedgehog" was only rated E10+ with how dark and (mildly) gritty it was and that ended up causing a shitstorm. Conker's Bad Fur Day was rated M for it's mature language (even more than Shadow the Hedgehog had), sexual themes, and graphic violence, and that game was praised to no end. Thus proving, you can't call something bad just because it comes from something nice and child-friendly and then turning it into something more mature. I'd say that Shadow the Hedgehog (at best) was a decent game in my eyes. Definitely not amazing. It had problems here and there, but it was fine imo.
Shadow the Hedgehog was a bad game because it had terrible gameplay, not even fast paced like how the hedgehog series was meant to be.
I thought the whole "gotta go fast" thing was more Sonic's thing, but yeah. I kinda looked at Shadow the Hedgehog as Sonic Heroes with guns, vehicles, and just playing as one character. But, it had some glitches and was kinda slow at times.

Fuck that 'get 100 rings' stage with Tails, and to complete certain objectives across the levels, you had to backtrack to find a single goddamn enemy hidden in a corner that you missed. Auto-targeting for the guns was not made to pick between friend or foe, making things like the Aliens and GUN soldiers fighting eachother be a giant center of death for both sides if Shadow pulled the trigger. Things like the nine mandatory endings to get the final story/ending also didn't help. I admit it, I liked Shadow the Hedgehog as well - but it felt less like a game and more like a throwaway title with no real worth.
I don't know why but I loved the shit out of Shadow's game. Multiplayer was fun too.
I remember being fucking hyped about Shadow the Hedgehog, as a kid. And I was not disappointed at all. Hell, I'd still replay it. [sp]If I haven't sold it for my 3DS :<[/sp]
The only Sonic game I remember being extremely disappointed for was Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). After watching some of the trailers, I thought this game was gonna be as great as Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, if not, better. But as we all know, it was like waiting for a buffalo to take a shit all over your face.
but apparently the devs working on shadow the hedgehog thought "maturity" meant playing some shitty, angsty music whilst shadow, sonic, and co cuss completely out of character.
Cuss 'completely' out of character? I thought they only did occasional 'damns' and 'hells' and that was it.
Cuss 'completely' out of character?
yes, completely. screaming "DAMN IT" every time they get hit or die is just absurd and comes off as some horrible attempt at appealing to an older crowd
Um, if I got shot, or fell off a space station, I would probably swear a few hundred times. I fail to see how that is out of character.
Um, if I got shot, or fell off a space station, I would probably swear a few hundred times. I fail to see how that is out of character.
"DAMN, not here!" "Where's that DAMN fourth Chaos Emerald?!" "It's time to send you straight to HELL, doctor!" "DAMN you to HELL, Shadow!" I see it less as 'out-of-character' and everyone suddenly having minor tourettes. Lot funnier that way.
"DAMN, not here!" "Where's that DAMN fourth Chaos Emerald?!" "It's time to send you straight to HELL, doctor!" "DAMN you to HELL, Shadow!" My grandparents swear more than that.
You don't know anybody who swears like that in real life? My grandparents swear more than that.
It's just the principle that not a single curse word had been the series (English-wise, anyway - Sonic says 'shit' a couple times in Japanese in the Adventure games, literally saying it in mangled english) and then suddenly Shadow swears with a specific emphasis on each curse to make it seem more blatant that he's cursing. Since it's the same game that introduces real guns, people complain alot that it's terrible attempts at being edgy. I don't mind, it's fucking hilarious and memetic, but it just seems out-of-place in a game that's rated E10+.
You don't know anybody who swears like that in real life? My grandparents swear more than that.
It's a cartoon animal, one from a series that's aimed at kids, stop treating it like real life goddamn son.
Anyway. If anyone's still interested in this game, add me, so i can compare times. thanks.
