I think the problem with Sonic 2006 is that they tried to plop sonic in a 'realistic' world which didn't fit at all. Plus he wasn't at all fast, which Unleashed fixed. Unleashed could have gone without the Werehog concept. And Colors is apparently a great game.
Sonic Colors is pretty much Unleashed without the Werehog Stages.
TotalBiscuit did not approve of the Pinball Minigame :v:
Colors is fantastic. I'm willing to bet Dimensions will be too.
Dimensions? Wait, what?
So after 150+ attempts at beating my old Speed Highway Act 1 time, I finally did. Boy was I surprised to see this: [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/595834703425123825/EF295A896664A64594F9A69550C72F567D977CFB/[/t] My thumbs are killing me.
Dimensions? Wait, what?
Not confirmed yet but Sonic Dimension is the exclusive Sonic game that is being made for the Wii U. It's gonna be like Colors but instead of Wips power, there will be different colored sonic each with their own ability.
That sounds silly...
That sounds silly...
And so was the Werehog having stretchy arms. But eh, I got used to it. (at least I did)

So guys, take a look at this and tell me: How FUCKING AWESOME would it be to have a game like this with 3D/2D gameplay but classic sonic's look and momentum?
The pitter patter of his feet at the end is hilarious. Also Dimensions is a fangame, it ain't real.
I dunno if they did the original versions of these, but they certainly did the Generations remix.
The originals are also by crush 40 That second one is the original btw. Just the full version of it.

Didn't know it was a fan game. I heard nothing about it after seeing the articles about Sega saying they were planning to make it. Guess it was bullshit from some dumbass sites again.

I'm much more of a fan of the old adventure type gameplay. I really don't like having one button to make you instakill everything you touch, attract rings to you, AND make you instantly hit top speed. I also don't like how straight line-y boost level design is. I had a whole rant about what I like and don't a few pages back though.
I'd kill for Sonic Adventure 2 or Sonic 06 on steam.
I'd kill for Sonic Adventure 2 or Sonic 06 on steam.
You would kill for sonic 06 ? :v:
I'd rather pass a kidney stone then play Sonic 06
If they brought Sonic 06 over to the PC and patched a lot of the issues, that's one thing. If they brought over unchanged whatsoever, chances are people could mod it to hell and back (last I remember, the entire game was coded with Lua). In either case, I wouldn't buy the game unless there's some sort of definitive reason that I give a damn about. :v:

It was a mess of a game that is best left to be forgotten.
I think sonic 06 was the reboot attempt, that failed miserably. id rather see unleashed on steam
I'd rather pass a kidney stone then play Sonic 06
Be careful what you wish for.
I'm glad Sega is coming back to the pc. I think they are trying to get it out on the PC alongside the consoles so they can try to rack in more cash, and its obviously been working, or else they would not have released sonic cd or sonic 4 on steam.
I'd rather pass a kidney stone then play Sonic 06
They fixed Sonic CD. They can fix Sonic 06.
Yahtzee from Zero Punctuation did a review on Sonic Generations: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/5284-Sonic-Generations I don't think he liked it.

They don't. At all. I also dislike how he said that people were let down with Sonic Colours just like any other Sonic game. I didn't hear many bad things about that game. [editline]25th January 2012[/editline] ...Gotta admit how he's right about Classic Sonic jump timing :v:
Let down with Sonic Colors? I've played it and I didn't see any problems with that game, only some part the difficulty might spike a bit.
They fixed Sonic CD. They can fix Sonic 06.
"Fixed"? The only thing that was "fixed" was the fact that it had compatibility issues with vista and up. The game was rock solid to begin with.
Sonic 2006 is horrible because it was too much anime and not enough Sonic. The saddest part is you can tell they originally planned it to be Sonic Adventure 3, what with the hub worlds from 1 and some of the theme motifs from 2, but the story was so completely fucked up. Why was Sonic's love interest a human character, I mean, my god.
