Hey, at least you can run the game. I actually bought this with real money hoping it would be a decent port. Nope, the game just randomly decides not to work from time to time and I can't run it fullscreen at all.
The game crashes if you set it to fullscren and your resolution is bigger than the maximum game resolution. v:v:v
Remember this song?

This song is very rare to find on Youtube, this is one of the most memorable song from SA2 imo, added the emotional effect on Shadow.
Oh, we have to post our working Dreamcasts now?

And now you see why people hated (half of) it.
two years ago I would have killed for a PC version of Sonic 4 EP1, When it came out I played it on a friend's Wii, and damn I hated it.
Anyways, i got Sonic CD and I love it, the game looks pretty good and I'm glad they added the option to change between the US and JAP soundtrack, And about this, whats the difference between the smoth and sharp filter?

Or the nostalgia filter?

The Werehog stages themselves weren't bad. I mean it wasn't true Sonic fashion, but hey, it was bearable. However, they go on for fucking EVER.
Sonic 4 quick review:
The first time I played this, I very much disliked it. Momentum was wrong, the physics were laughable, and overall while it tried to be like the Genesis games, it wasn't.
After coming back to it the next day, I got used to it. It's still not a great game, and I'm hoping Episode 2 will remedy most of those problems. I can safely say I do like it. Certain things thta bothered me eventually withered away as I ended up playing through the whole game. It definitely has the correct path and potential for being as great as the others. I'm glad Sega released it in episodic format. I'm guessing they realized they could really fuck it up, so feedback from the community would really be important.
The only thing that really pisses me off is the spin dash speed. Running actually has a higher top speed than it. Overall the game feels a little more like it's on a set path rather than having a character moving freely about a world.
I like Sonic 4. I just hate some of the puzzles. Like having to rotate the screen in order to empty a room of water.

Think about what you just said there. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was released, and it had puzzles in it.
This is what convinces me that someone at Sega just doesn't get it.
Man, Dxtory records like a dream! Why didn't anybody tell me about this sooner?! Just gotta nail down the right recording settings.

Puzzles are good, though. They add a variation of gameplay.

Do I win?
Man, Dxtory records like a dream! Why didn't anybody tell me about this sooner?! Just gotta nail down the right recording settings.
There are a lot of online tutorials but you should aim to record at 30fps and change the Dxtory video settings to the resolution you want to record with. If you have a good enough computer then you can also play at high resolutions while Dxtory records it to a lower resolution. Personally I do 1280x720 all round.
Besides from that I just got done playing and since I can't think of anything funny or witty to say I'll just state that instead while posting this short run of mine:

besides the last spring it's still a pretty fun level :v:
The game crashes if you set it to fullscren and your resolution is bigger than the maximum game resolution. v:v:v
I mean, I can run it fine windowed at 1680x1050 (which is my "maximum" resolution and my desktop resolution) but when I set it fullscreen then it crashes. I don't get what you're trying to tell me here. Either way, the game is load of bullcrap. Some of the game mechanics are actually pretty clever but the way they implemented them just sucks ass (Lost Labyrinth Act 2 with that bloody torch puzzle). Not to mention the ugly flash looking graphics and stolen enemies/stages/bosses from other Sonic games. What a piss poor attempt at a sequel to the classic games.
On the other hand, the Sonic CD port is pretty good. Even though it's my least favorite game from the classic era. I love the addition of spin dash and the ability to play as Tails. That made the game a bit easier. Shame about the FMV sequences being so choppy. It's like SEGA is trying to sneak in at least one fuck up so they don't ruin their reputation.
Sonic shuffle is the worst fucking thing. Nothing in it makes sense, 95% of the minigames are bad, the boards are far too cluttered, the CPU's all have on setting (I think I read somewhere that due to a error in coding they're always on hard), super rediculous requirements to get the 4 secret characters, some characters flat out better then others (what the fuck), long load times, the list just keeps on going.
Sonic Shuffle is literally the Sonic 06 of party games.
Sonic Shuffle is literally the Sonic 06 of party games.
And Sonic 06 is the Sonic Shuffle of.. platformers?

You're entitled to your own opinion, but I loved Sonic Shuffle and I still play it sometimes with friends. When you've got 4 people playing it you don't need to worry about cheating computers. I would seriously love to see a new Sonic Shuffle; or some Mario Party/Sonic Shuffle crossover.
Sonic Shuffle was fun. Oh, I have 3 working Dreamcasts at the moment.
Chun-nan port progress.

My dreamcast still works. The only thing wrong with is that it asks for the date/time when I start it.

If they can make additionnal levels accessible with an extra level gate, this will be perfect
Also, today I tried G-Mod for the first time. Seriously, that is.
