X-plane 10 is almost definitely going to be delayed, so go ahead and get X-plane 9, it's only 30 bucks and there are some great free planes. X-plane is not quite as pretty as FSX but if you get the right airplanes it's flight-dynamics are unparalleled. If you do get X-plane, since you are also into DCS, I recommend the CF-104 for uncomprimising fighter realism.

I like how the guy who made all those models didn't bother ever making world models.
Also, I am disappointed by the lack of all the bots shouting "RAMIREZ" at the beginning of every sentence. That, and the lack of whiny children replacing all of the bots' voices.
Replace the RAMIREZ sound clip for every single sound file in the game, including bullet shots.
I want to do that.

Still bullshit, the MG3 is my favourite Medic weapon and it rarely takes more than 10 bullets, even with missing.
I think I had more of a problem with not being able to hit fuck-all in BC2 due to a combination of consistent network lag (Apparently, even if the server browser says I have 32 ping with a server, the server itself says I have around 150) and framerate lag. So when I actually do hit someone, I can rarely hit them enough times to kill them before they wreck my shit with a higher-ranked weapon than my own.

Uh, weapon rank doesn't matter?
Seriously you can use the AEK better than any other assault gun if you know how to use it.
And it's the same for every other gun.

TF2 on Wine at very high settings except for AA averaging at 40 fps with some vsync madness.
tap dat mouse1, you'll notice that the tactic00l mg42 can kill in like 7 shots or so no problem

But what it is, is a damn good Bad company game, look at that weapon FOV! ITS CORRECT. CORRECT! Look at the pew! SINGLE SHOT!
Also, I've got a hard on for round penetration in MOWAS. This shot went through one of my tanks, and the spalling slamed an ally back down the hill when the round exits. mmmm.
