Entropia is impossibly difficult to start without forking over real money, and even then good fucking luck
Yeah It's free to play, but its much easier to get started by depositing money into the game. At the moment about 10USD can get you 100ish Game dollars, which you can use to buy all your starting equipment. If you read some guides and try to take in as much information as you can on how the game works, you'll be able to make a profit using your equipment and will rarely have to deposit real money into the game. There are also jobs you can take on within the game where you can earn your game money, so theres that option as well.
The way I like to play though is by depositing $30 a month regardless because I like to spend it on cool stuff. I do a lot of hunting with my brother as well but thats just recreational. We just like to choose the most un-eco, loudest guns and kill things. See how me and my brother drive our own vehicle, even though we could easily fit into 1? Yeah, someone keen on making a profit would save fuel by buying a cheap 2 seater car, or even just go by foot. But wheres the fun in that? You cannot have car races
TL;DR: It can be free to play, depending on your play style.
im gonna give this game a try, it looks pretty good, the pictures you posted earlier on with you hunting something with people looked awesome too.
I've been playing some 007 Nightfire. I loved this game on the GameCube and I still think it's the best James Bond game. I'm playing it with my PS3 controller.

Apparently it still has a very active modding community.

Nostalgia. I played the SHIT out of that game! In fact, i'm tempted to fire it up again, because i've still got my gamecube somewhere.

I'm also trying this thanks to you and your amazing screenshots. I'm going to attempt the (supposedly) impossible time consuming task of enjoying this game without putting real money into it.

I really want to give it a try but unfortunately the ClientLoader.exe won't open and just produces a crash dump and log. It's the only game that this Windows 8 build won't play :(.
Playing some LCPDFR and my Air support wasn't arriving when I wanted it, which resulted in me mashing the button for it...
SUDDENLY all I hear is EAR RAPE of helicopter blades and see this ARMY of helicopters, all crashing into each other and raining death everywhere.

fuck dude that game was so much fun multiplayer.
I remember there was a level with a circular room, me and a friend would fill the walls with laser mines, was a death trap.
Entropia is impossibly difficult to start without forking over real money, and even then good fucking luck
One deposit was enough for me. I just got myself some basic armor, a long and short-range weapon, and a few basic tools, and then I started building up from there.
Entropia is a nice concept and I like that you really have to work at it to get any sort of returns, but the possibility of not even breaking even for quite a while is a bit high for me, Maybe if the game ran more than 20 frames per second and didn't have these nasty stutters... that really turns me off. I don't know if its been optimized in the last year or so that I haven't played it though

It uses Cryengine 2, If you can't run Crysis then you can't run Entropia.
I'm sure Entropia will be a lot more demanding than Crysis. Crysis will honestly run on pretty much anything. It's just that there'll be a lot more processor intensive stuff in an MMO than a Singleplayer game.

In order to fix this, you need to manually increase Doom 3's graphics quality (in one of the config files). I thought it was because of Catalyst AI, but it turns out that it gets this bugged if your graphics quality settings are too low.

Really? Because the only thing causing it is the Skiimod options. If I turn everything off it is fine.

Exactly. If your graphics quality options are too low, it will bug the fuck out. It did for me, just edit the config file, and set the maximum graphics possible, then it'll get fixed.
Also, re-name your doom3.exe to doom 3.exe, and start it via shortcut that loads up Sikkmod. That should fix every single problem.
Brink.

Shall I upload my Doom 3 settings for Sikkmod?
mods are:
kf
cod BO -> pretty cool story IGN said its was the best SP ever made in COD.
Mafia II -> best story ever. I mean the gameplaye is boring just drive there and there, or shoot stuff. But the plot, man, the plot is AWESOME.

Oh and PAGE KING....meh
Game is Red Orchestra...
Gameplay in Entropia kind of reminds me of Morrowind. It's great because you actually have to think before you do things, and the game doesn't just hold your hand the entire time. It sure beats playing a modern FPS where your brain just does nothing and all you have to do is point and click and the game does the rest. When I finish playing Entropia for a few hours I don't feel so tired and slow. My brain is very active like I just completed some maths.
Oh, and thanks for the compliments on my screenshots. I didn't know anyone appreciated them! I just recently left planet Calypso for the first time and traveled to Rocktopia. I'll be posting those screenshots sometime tomorrow after work.
..Fine heres just one for now

It's an under-rated gem in the MMO industry.
