That's sadly why American Football is so popular here.. players play with injuries all the time that hey shouldn't, like past year where Ben Rothlisberger played with a broken ankle, a broken nose, and some other injury to his shoulder, or his elbow, or something like that.
No wonder the idiots play for 5 or 10 years, and have back troubles and weak joints and arthritis by the time they're 25... :/

I've played FIFA games since around 2004. If you asked me to watch a football game on the TV, I would refuse, as I would if I was asked to play. If I was asked to play a multiplayer game of FIFA, however, I'd be quite obliged to play.
It's a bit strange, I would compare it to me loving racing sims even though I can't drive for shit but that isn't really a good comparison.

That's very true, as well, but you'd think that if you broke your ankle doing something at home on the week off, that you would rest that weekend, rather than risking re-injuring it, or injuring it even worse. The broken nose in that example's a bit different to show the fact that yes, the game is brutal (but so are most sports)

It's also these players jobs to go out and perform. It's in their contracts. Plus the lure of victory, glory, immortality etc. If they don't play the team has a chance of losing and not getting the chance to move to the next level.
