this doesn't show off exactly why the game is shit but since this is what you do for most of the game i made a video of it!
What is the song in the video? I've heard it somewhere but can't remember where and I quite like it, dunno the song tho
I can never bother with those graphic mods for Morrowind/Oblivion. always something happens during installation or you install something in the wrong order and then your game refuses to load
just use this guide http://knotstheinane.blogspot.com/p/morrowind-modding-guide.html
Doing a video for a Jumbo Jet. Flys pretty good and even lands with no problem. Kerbal Space Program
Those Morrowind shots look so much nicer than Oblivion with/without mods.
Installed Roller Coaster Tycoon, and made my George Lucas Memorial Theme Park. It has nothing to do with George Lucas or Star Wars. When I was installing it, it also asked if I wanted to register the game via fax. Everything in Dead Island looks like it's made of melting Play-Dough.
What is the song in the video? I've heard it somewhere but can't remember where and I quite like it, dunno the song tho
it's gone guru by lifeseeker if you fought the convicts in the first dead rising you've heard it before
I haven't seen any shader-based AA effects, though then again I haven't really looked. There's a conventional AA option in the MGE options and you can force it in your GPU control panel, I don't think the depth buffer precludes conventional AA like it does with OBGE. Though even without using AA, like in those screenshots, it doesn't look nearly as bad as some other games. Also I can finally create an acceptable looking female character that doesn't look slightly slutty/unfitting like the custom race mods in oblivion almost unfailingly were.
The MDLAA shader from OBGE would probably work with little to no tweaking if a shader based AA was desired. I find that most people can run 2xAA with no real FPS hit though, so it's surprising to me that you have decided to run no AA. Your screens look nice, even still. Especially that one of Orrent.

I was wondering why it ran so slowly but then I realized that the game drawing twice the statics it was when I was using vanilla MGE probably had something to do with it. Since it runs at a pretty playable fframerate and I have a GTX570 I'll crank up the AA. I've always found with the shader based AA for oblivion that while it's preferable to jaggies it either blurs the edges too much and gives me a headache or has a negligible visual difference anyway. Also hi Knots, your guides are awesome when I inevitably install too many Oblivion/Morrowind mods, irrevocably fuck the install up without a backup, vow to never play the game again then 2 weeks later reinstall the game. I wouldn't even know half of these mods existed if it wasn't for your guide. [editline]11th September 2011[/editline]
Everything in Dead Island looks like it's made of melting Play-Dough.
It's probably because they put specular maps on everything, even the stuff that wasn't shiny, leading to everything looking like plastic.
:technobabble:
game go slow, monk fix or at least that's what I can tell from what little I actually read
Those Morrowind shots look so much nicer than Oblivion with/without mods.
Aside from normal/parallax mapping in modded Oblivion I think you'd be right. [editline]11th September 2011[/editline]
:technobabble:
Mororwind graphics extender's principal feature is adding oblivion style distant land to the game, where before you could only see a certain distance until you hit this annoying fog. The utility allows you to pick the minimum size building/tree/thing you want to be displayed in the distance, higher values man less items which means better framerate. A fork of MGE XE allows these statics to cast shadows, and I cranked the minimum size right down because I wanted lots of shadows. This sent my framerate tumbling so I wasn;t prepered to enable AA until I tweaked it enough to get a decent framerate without AA.
I understood it, I was mostly talking about the amount of acronyms.
fuck, so I wrote all that for nothing blame nvidia for having terrible naming schemes, the mod communites for having a fetish for acronyms, and anti aliasing for having an acronym that sounds a bit like what you would say if you trod on a bit of lego

[editline]10th September 2011[/editline] Do any of those mods have any sort of supersampling modes? I would prefer simply to run the game at 3840x2160 in the buffer for perfect visuals. I did that with crysis warhead because the engine doesn't properly support TRSSAA
More Roller Coaster Tycoon. My meth lab is very popular with the children. I looked at what my guests thought of it, and every guest in the house thought "I want to get out of Richard Simmons' House!" I didn't get a picture of that specifically, but you can see it in the screen above. Or this one.
-snipped for spoilers- HOLY SHIT GUYS SPOILERS!
Shut the fuck up already. That's been spoiled to me 10 times already I'm trying to forget it so I can be surprised when I get to that part.
I still have my roller coaster tycoon CD's. Getting the expansions for my birthday was the greatest thing ever. Still was.
