Not just borderlands, you can have hated Borderlands and still love Dead Island.
It sort-of takes the best of Dead Rising and Borderlands and mashes them into a fun experience.
And if you're forever alone then the SP of Dead Island is still really good.
i hate the mp personally. it goes from fun and serious to fun and hilarious just because you can do the stupidest things with other people.
also pubbies love running ahead and doing shit and it ruins the mood because quests are getting completed and you didn't get to do them yourself. that was great in borderlands but the quests in this game add a lot of character to the game because the people set the mood and, you know, actually TALK
