How are you able to play this without the stutter?
Even when I had a dual core e6750 at 3.4GHz it ran okay on most settings at medium, now I have a quad core (makes no difference for BF2) at 3.9 with everything minus textures on high. Without more than 4GB ram you can not run textures on high. My frames have hit 25-30 on Fallujah West but that's because PR isn't greatly optimized and Fallujah is terribly optimized.
While Dead Island is a FANTASTIC game and I'm very happy I bought it. It only gives you 20-30 hours. If you can't buy both/low on money Skyrim is obviously the best choice.
These two i would say are my best pictures i grabbed while playing. They have spoilers though, first is a enemy and second is a follower.

Not to start a flamewar or anything. But I see that you are going for 128x AA or something. May I ask how that is different from 8X. Is it really that much smoother that it magically improves everything?
Now it may sound sarcastic, but I am not. I actually want to see if 128x is really good or if you are just doing it simply because you can.
My question is just that is it really that important to have smooth edges?
But then again, you are free to do that if you want to. Still interesting to see what kind of crazy stuff people can come up with.
Wow it's only 1940 and you're already being invaded? I feel bad for you.

Actually I'm Britain and that's my BEF trying to rescue France, Belgium and the Netherlands. As you can clearly see, it's not really working. But I think I kinda broke some scripts by saying no the annexation of the Sudetenland (Czechoslovakia said yes so it didn't really matter) and after that I was able to invite Czechoslovakia in to the Allies so Germany couldn't annex them, which resulted in a war in 1940 against Czechoslovakia and not against Poland.

Gearing up for Lonesome Road. The DLC doesn't remove all your gear like the other DLCs, does it? That would suck, alot.

yeah

It doesn't, but you don't get to take any of your companions.

Darn. Good thing i'm a bloody walking tank then.

Smooth edges make a huge difference when it comes to immersion, but I do agree that 128x is a bit excessive.

I'm just saying, but it is LONESOME road. Heh.
I have to admit, you're the first person I've seen who doesn't like Anti-Aliasing. Might I ask why? It may just be the solution you're using.
Its a huge resource hog and makes a pretty miniscule visual difference, I'd rather beef up every other graphic element and just leave AA off for the fps boost.
AA eliminates aliasing. Surely you must know what anti means.
ok?
ok?
you know you can't be talking about "lack of aliasing" (like you did) if the picture is ridden with jaggies
Its a huge resource hog and makes a pretty miniscule visual difference, I'd rather beef up every other graphic element and just leave AA off for the fps boost.
"minuscule" is debatable; It's a night/day difference in some titles.
As far as resource consumption goes, a decent mid-range to high-end video card will be able to render 8xAA with no noticeable performance impact. I've got a GeForce GTX 460 and there is maybe a 1fps difference between no AA and 8xAA when playing the vast majority of my titles. The only game I see a substantial performance drop in is Crysis or Bad Company 2.

yeah. i agree here. to me it's "no AA or high AA." if my computer can't run it at 8x or higher then it just goes off because anything below that just shows so many obvious errors it just looks like a mess half of the time.
although ro2 is a bitch with AA off because the iron sights are so cluttered you can't really see through them on a 1080 monitor with some of the rifles which irks me to death
unfortunately that game is unoptomized as all get out and it runs like shit no matter what so i have to play with everything low just to get medium AA so i can see what i'm shooting at
