3D aside, it's a pretty cool game. It's like Splinter Cell Conviction, but with more action. I'd recommend buying it if it's on sale for 50% off at xmas time or something.

I played RAGE and it's annoying but at least for me the fact that it results in a smooth framerate on my shit GPU compensates for it, and it's kind of the game I expected when I was expecting Borderlands. The sound could be better but otherwise the AI is pretty smart and it isn't way too easy, so it's kind of a fun game really.
Oh and I'm pretty sure they'll fix that texture popping thing.

Well I'm pretty sure they did say they'll release a massive texture pack that contains the original, proper textures, as opposed to the compressed mess that they are now. So yeah I guess so.

I think the High Resolution Textures are around 20 GB or something.

I know plenty of people who are satisfied with the look of it. Also forcing people to download a huge texture pack because some people feel like they can't play with blurry textures doesn't seem best to me.
The game looks good, but not great like it could. Pretty much its only down side is textures, but that should be up to the end user whether to DL them or not.
We're talking about possibly 30gb total for a game. That can knock someone's monthly download out in one shot.
Playing some COD2. This game has aged pretty well actually.
