I'd assume it depends on what you find relaxing. For me, putting a plane on autopilot and watching it fly 1,000 miles is just boring, but cruising around a city, weaving in and out of buildings in a fighter is incredibly serene for some reason.

just depends. some of the scene packages you can buy or even just find for free are absolutely stunning sometimes.

that and improved cloud textures and whatnot really make FSX very enjoyable.
