You must have shit eyes then, this coming from someone who's colour blind so i need the saturation levels higher than normal to see good colour.
I know blur and saturation are different, but if you have high saturation it can be really uneasy on the eyes.

You can turn off Motion Blur you know, its an option.
Honesly I thought Crysis 2 looked great. The Game sucked ass, but the visuals were amazing with the High-Res pack and DX11 patch.

I have never played STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl before but i'm already bricking it, it just has a creepy feel to it, reminds me of Metro 2033, same goes for Metro 2033, reminds me of STALKER.

Just wait till you get to the labs - best part of the game in my opinion because of how creepy it is. Also look into mods when you're done, especially ones that make night time as dark as shit.

crysis 2 uses a shader AA method coupled with liberally applied DoF, the combination gets really annoying after a while

Those are the full res. I mean, they are 2560x900 or something. They were something like 3500 originally, but those were too big while uploading so I uploaded these very high quality ones that could be spread easily.

(just realized you were talking about COD2, I'll keep this post here because it remains true though)
uh you do realize the amount of work that went into RAGE's art assets right, every square meter had to be done manually
the only reason the textures are so low res is because ramping up the resolution would have resulted in the game needing like 6 DVDS (consoles probably had something to do with it but getting ultra-hires textures into the retail versions would be a logistical nightmare)
