tbh i love dvds and digital copies. especially if you can register said dvd to steam. it's a win-win because you can install faster than you can download and/or you still have the download in case you lose your dvds which to me happens quite often

I think I know what's wrong; the original game is way too bright at default brightness so I turned the ingame gamma way down to compensate for it. Now ENB has tweaked the colour correction and light levels the gamma setting I was using before is too low. Might experiment to find a happy medium later.
In the meantime, here's some screenshots. Yes, they are a little dark but meh.

Darkness in games is fine, but nothing is ever pitch black when there are light sources. And even if you step into a dark room with light sources, your eyes need to adjust to the darkness, making everything black other than the light sources.
So imo it should either be all black, or not black.
In the last shot you posted his hair should not blend with the background because there's light that's clearly able to drecitly reach his hair.
