It's a fun game, don't get me wrong. The gunplay is fantastic.
I meant it in the sense that it was fairly disappointing. They had such a fantastic setting and atmosphere and then used it how they did.
The free-roaming areas were small and empty, being little more than links between linear segments that eventually looped back around to the beginning again. I can't be the only one who was annoyed when the objective of the mission was in sight, behind a thin door or some easily climbable obstacle, but they made you go the most batshit route possible to reach it. A good example of that is in the "Blue Line Station" mission.

You can change the amount of motion blur or completely disable it in options in BF3.
