Ah, that leads me to one of the reasons why I think GTAIV is in most aspects a better game. There are a lot of great missions in SA, a lot of them better than the best IV has to offer, but those are counterbalance by some truly awful, half impossible missions. And of course when you die/fail a mission you have to go all the way back to the mission giver, and considering tha t a lot of the missions take place across half the state that gets incredibly annoying. Having the option to retry a mission in GTAIV was much needed, as were mid mission checkpoints in EFLC. Driving back to the mission giver/driving to where the mission takes place is not remotely challenging, it's just boring and frustrating. Thankfully I'm much better at SA than I was when I first played it, it took me like 20 tries to get past the 'OG Loc' and 'Wrong side of the tracks' missions because I was so shit at driving all those years ago. Now I did both of those on their first try. Have no idea why the general concensus is that they're hard as nails.
