I only posted 2 videos of skyrim LP before stopping to finish getting my system prepped to record, since it was dipping. Now that I'm at 4.5ghz I can run skyrim much better and have been modding the game with all sorts of stuf. Would like to get some of those ENB mods going before picking it back up.
His 'secrets' are on the very page you're posting on. Scroll up.
more halo 2 ~ so artistic ~
Y'know, the port was pretty shit when it first came out, but if you have a PC made anytime within the last 4-5 years or so, it runs and plays quite beautifully. Pity they restricted the modding so much; that was one of the things that kept Halo PC around so long.
4.5 ghz? Sweet zombie jesus.
It was pretty easy. Took maybe an hour to get it to stable settings.

And I hear about these CPUs hitting monstrous clock speeds, however I don't think I'm able to.. I've got some shit-ass Asus board, is there any way to still go over the limit? (Asking this here cuz you seem like you would know.) [editline]17th December 2011[/editline] Also, I meant this particular board from Asus is likely to be shit, I like asus' products in general. (Just to avoid a possible flame-war)

Speaking of which here are some old Oblivion/OBGE pictures I may or may not have posted before. They weren't in my Dropbox folder, so I assume I haven't. Really renders the Ubersampling superfluous...
You can get FXAA on the Witcher 2 now? Cool, there was definitely some noticeable aliasing even with AA on that detracted from the graphics somewhat, though it's still the most beautiful game ever. Also I'm running a Q9550 on a P5Q PRO and it's still serving me well. OC'd it to something like 3.4 too. Served me well these past 3 (christ, 3 years already) years and I think I'll get another year or two's comfortable use out of it.
FXAA would be good on Witcher 2 due to the specular aliasing it has.
FXAA would be good on Witcher 2 due to the specular aliasing it has.
the problem with witcher 2 is that it has a sharpen post-process filter that runs before it samples anti-aliasing so it'll always be apparent until the sharpen filter is removed
Problem is, I'm not even sure my mobo supports OCing. I don't even remember the model of the damn thing! 2,4Ghz to 3,2-3,4ghz seems like a significant boost, and it'd probably wear down the CPU at a pace where I could afford a newer, better one by the time it dies out or, well, becomes extremely outdated. I'm treading into unknown (for me) ground here but, are there some sort of modded BIOSes that unlock OCing through them? Or does it have to be in the actual hardware to changed the FSB? I remember my old Pentium 3 having these... switches on the board. Unfortunately that's the last thing I've ever OC'd. Great, huh?
Modern CPU's are much easier to overclock, but the Core2 level of CPu's still relied on the mobo a bit for luck with overclocking. Unless you have a nice motherboard you probably can't go too far.
