I forgot how sharp that game was.
yeah, it wouldn't be an issue but the amount of specular aliasing is mindblowing
yeah, it wouldn't be an issue but the amount of specular aliasing is mindblowing
why do you keep throwing around terms that are completely irrelevant the scenes in that game look that way because of no anti aliasing and the sharpen filter, nothing else in fact, the only one of those where specular mapping is really apparent has almost no aliasing
Generic.Monk always finds something wrong with everything.

The fact that it looks so good makes the few graphical flaws more apparent.
The fact that the game is poorly optimized is one good criticism.
Decided to pick up Portal 2 on PC yesterday since it was only $7, I already have it on Xbox but I bought it for custom maps, online friends, etc. Anyways, I got some pics while playing through the story for a bit.
Witcher 2 images
That artstyle is shite. I mean, the game is detailed but it just looks like shit. Surprising from a game that was made to be basically eyecandy
It was there in the Beta but greyed out, now its just missing from the menu. Must have been buggy or something.
You can force AA on with nVidia Inspector if you have an nVidia card. Not sure about AMD. (Or you could it in beta, at least. That's what I did.)
That artstyle is shite. I mean, the game is detailed but it just looks like shit. Surprising from a game that was made to be basically eyecandy
I like the look of it. When you get into the lore, the art style makes perfect sense. Kids! This is what we call Quest overload. It's fucking 4 at night and i've only done 3 so far. I intend to see them all through before I go to bed. I want to play the witcher 2, but I heard you pretty much need to play the first one before you can fully appreciate it. Just too bad I heard that the first one sucked major donkey balls.
no you can see visible aliasing on the textures as well as the edges, afaik that's specular aliasing
Don't know what it is. All i know is that it's a sore in me eyes. Yet nothing that Immersion can't cure.
I fucking love the witcher 2, I think it's the most beautiful game ever made, doesn't mean I can't point out flaws in it. The fact that it looks so good makes the few graphical flaws more apparent.
Aye, it's damn beautiful alright. One glaring problem is the "dead eye" syndrome that i thought to have been cured since 2009. Seems not. Just too bad I heard that the first one sucked major donkey balls.
I haven't and i can follow the plot completely. I'm not loosing anything. There are small cameo's but you can pretty much dismiss them with the fact that you don't remember and they'll go "WHA!? FUCK YOUU!" or something equal. I'd recommend it. Gog.com had it for 18$ a week ago.
I want to play the witcher 2, but I heard you pretty much need to play the first one before you can fully appreciate it. Just too bad I heard that the first one sucked major donkey balls.
I loved the first one, personally, besides the sometimes boring combat. The atmosphere of the world was awesome. Can't really go wrong for the $2.50 it was on Steam yesterday. EDIT: In fact, I liked the first one better in a lot of ways.
Got the Enhanced Edition retail on my shelf. Haven't been able to get into it beyond the tutorial. I might just Read the books and THEN go play it. I think its problem is that it takes a lot of the bad baggage along from being an Old-School RPG. Witcher 2 seems to be the sensible evolution for an RPG with only one controlled Character. It's still more of an RPG than any Bioware title with the possible exception of BG series and DA:O.
Two Metro 2033 screenshots that I liked:
Dude it's already out, it has been out for almost two months now.
I live in Australia. It comes out on February.
I live in Australia. It comes out on February.
And TOR comes out in March. Ridiculous.
Easily the best outfit for Batman. Wish I would have had this outfit earlier on for my second playthrough. Also should have waited to buy AC, I got it for $30 a few weeks before it was released, and now Steam has it on sale for cheaper. At least it wasn't a huge difference in price. I wish I could play witcher 2 but my computer can't run it worth for shit.
