I liked APB whilst my free premium lasted but once that went so did all the fun. Not going to pay monthly for premium.

They managed to make RO2 demand a whole lot of power for only a pretty good visual quality. They managed to make UE3 look flat yet run bad. I remember them talking about, "<Option A>, <Option B>, and <Option C> at Ultra are really super high values and should only be used on the best computers." Ok cool. So they should make a noticeable difference right? I don't know enough about game design or programming to give any real insight on it, but I feel like "max" shouldn't be merely loading a higher resolution texture in A, B, C, and D areas when it looks nearly the same as the lower res ones. I feel that's the general problem when the Ultra options they included, It was like adding load with no perceivable difference. Which is normally fine to me, I like having options that give people reason to go for that much nicer system, but come on the game is a grey blurry fest and make my dual 3GB 580's and overclocked 2600k whimper in pain. But I should say, I do understand how the point of diminishing return comes into play but I feel they could have done a much better job with not merely optimizing, because I think that word is thrown around, but actually designing the game visually better. I just keep thinking surely it could be have been done better. If it will make you feel better I will redownload it and try it out, since I stopped playing shortly after release. And I know they've patched a lot.
