It's more realistic than World of Tanks, being a tank simulator, but there is a 2D tactical map to command your tank company.

The game's $15 on GamersGate. I felt it was worth it, but your mileage may vary. Mod support is there but the documentation is in Russian. There are 4 campaigns (Iran [M60A1], Iran [T-62], Afghanistan, Angola) (which plays out like a dynamic campaign IMO) plus the option to set up quick battles.

chaos theory's co-op has to be hands down the most fun stealth based game i've ever played, makes me wish they carried on with the same gameplay formula but no, they had to turn to run and gun gameplay in order to make the new console masses not find their game frustrating.
