I really really hope this game is good. I can deal with the fact that it looks like a game form 2005 I just want it to be good.
Dunno why everyone shit talks it. Looks p. fun.
;33838450']Dunno why everyone shit talks it. Looks p. fun.
the trailers for it made it look like super shit.
well, the release date for it on steam completely disappeared [editline]21st December 2011[/editline] apparently in order to buy the game you have to purchase a steam key from their website that you can activate http://www.postalgames.com/servlet/the-32/POSTAL-III-Steam-Key/Detail
Am i going to have to order it through another site as opposed to buying it throught steam? Because that's fucking stupid. Also, is there a censored version for Australia?
Postal 3 is a complete disappointment. I dont give a f*** about the graphics, although the graphics are ridiculously poor for 2011. I always searching playability on games. But this game sucks on playability too. I remember i played Postal 2 for hours with a great pleasure. Anyway it's the worst game i have ever played. Don't buy it. Trust me.
Can't you just say why? [editline]22nd December 2011[/editline] Is it as shitty as DNF upon release?
Its not entertaining as Postal 2. Boring missions, lack of weapon, slipshod animations, ligneous gameplay, stupid artificial intelligence i bored after 5 or 10 minute play and uninstalled it. The biggest bad thing about this game is camera angle. It gives you a headache.
Well, back to Postal 2 then.
Well, back to Postal 2 then.
Time to party with Mr.Napalm (hint : enchanched mode)
Don't know if this is new or not.
Well, the game looks okay. It's not going to win a game of the year award any time soon, but it does seem fun.
Don't know if this is new or not.
look at the date it was uploaded? "Uploaded by TirexiHD on Dec 9, 2011" semi-new i guess
look at the date it was uploaded? "Uploaded by TirexiHD on Dec 9, 2011" semi-new i guess
It could be a video from 2 years back uploaded on that day.
It could be a video from 2 years back uploaded on that day.
yes, someone will archive 2 year old footage just to upload the now super outdated footage 2 years later.
Just played for a few hours. They took out all the exploring and secret passages. It's now purely mission based. No more dancing Al-Quada in a shabby hotel, no more turd in the doughnut display, no more completely useless but awesome elephant ring. RWS should have made the game themselves. It's still witty but only in cinematics not in the game itself.
Well, I emailed the producer of postal and within 3 minutes I got a reply saying we might see the SDK out in January, and once the modding starts, that is when the real fun begins.
I preordered the box and got a steam key due to disc fuckups, is there anything anyone wants to know about it? To be honest i think its quite good, and rather than open-style gameplay, its new good vs bad path system works quite well and if you want you can just mess around anyways... Also, the way his coat moves around when he runs is awesome.

not yet
Yet another game I won't be buying. Now that I think of it, the last few games I've bought were; Crysis 2, Portal 2, Battlefield 3.
It would be easily possible to link some of the maps together, like the ones before the apocalypse and excluding the bridge. Link them together like in the original game, so if you open the banks doors it fades and loads the bank's map. But otherwise yeah, no "true" free roaming. But tbh i still think its a great game with alot of potential for modding. Im decompiling some of the maps now and trying to get a workspace setup...
The problem i have found is the lack of the postal entities
what sort of entities do you mean? they have a whole bunch of new stuff that i have found in the maps, not that i can really do much so far.
what sort of entities do you mean? they have a whole bunch of new stuff that i have found in the maps, not that i can really do much so far.
I am pretty sure there are some game specific functions, triggers, ect.
Im expecting another Duke Nukem Forever. Over the top game following up from an amazing game, which after hype and wait, turns out to be shit.
I am actually quite enjoying it, the branching story line actually gives it a nice replay value [editline]23rd December 2011[/editline] You can also start from any mission you unlocked so you don't have to start all over again
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQpfQVkqtrw Don't know if this is new or not.
That is footage from the retail game, but it should be noted that's the initial Russian release with shoddy Russian dubbing. A rather extensive patch was released soon after and that's what the rest of the world received on the 22nd along with the proper English dub. Also, the guy playing is some Hungarian dude who clearly cannot read Russian, hence why he seems to be going well out of his way to not do what the on-screen tips explicitly tell him. You even see him skipping the cut scene that shows Ron Jeremy's porn shop being invaded by hockey moms, so he doesn't known what to do and just sits upstairs cluelessly firing soiled rags at masturbating men. Also also, while not particularly relevant, that guy is obviously playing a pirated copy of the game as his whole channel is blatantly dedicated to playing warez. All in all, that video is not a very good or fair representation of the game. Not to toot my own horn, but I happened to record my own marginally less clueless gameplay video that isn't from the very beginning tutorial mission:
So wait there's no free roaming?
There's no free roaming in the sense that there's an open hub world where you travel to each of your missions a la Postal 2. However, I think most people are forgetting the fact that, while the hub in Postal 2 was free roam, many of the actual missions/chores themselves were self-contained linear levels. Postal 3 can be seen as a continuous series of those types of missions, sharing a lot in common with Postal 2's expansion Apocalypse Weekend. However, just because there's no free roam doesn't mean Postal 3 doesn't offer freedom. There are two branching paths in the game, good and evil. You are never bound to any one path as your a your actions in the current level determine where you're headed next. There are unique maps, characters, battles, and outcomes in each, so you'll definitely have to play through the game more than once to experience everything (unless you manage some completely bipolar good/evil progression, which is a Steam achievement!). That's a heck of a lot of content to explore through. Chiding Postal 3 for a lack of true free roam is a valid criticism, but free roam by itself is not the be all, end all of a fun Postal game.
